Five Days Later
Kel grinned as the gritty sand invaded his toes.
“Why are you smiling like that?” Georgia’s small feet disappeared in the sand when she walked. “You’re up to something.”
The fading sun shined on them no matter where they went.
He smiled. “All day I’ve wanted you to myself and now I have you.”
“Did you have fun yesterday?” She had her hair in a ponytail with a pink bow that matched her floral summer dress. “Canoe lessons and whale watching was amazing.”
“Yeah,” he mumbled with his flimsy, white shirt blowing in the breeze.
