CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
“I don’t know what’s wrong with him.” Carol sobbed. “I’ve never, ever seen him so crazy. He’s always been strange, but I never imagined he’d do what he did.”
“What did he do?” Georgia asked.
“I walked in here the other day and he was cutting up Mrs. Spears’ underwear.”
Georgia and Wanda exchanged glances.
“He looked so creepy.” Carol covered her mouth. “His eyes were so empty, and he was violent.”
“Did he hurt you?” Wanda flung her around so Carol faced her.
She took a deep swallow. “He grabbed me and he put the scissors to my neck.”
“What?” Georgia shrieked.
“My god,” Wanda whispered.
“And he told me if I told you what happened he’d come back and kill me.” Carol cried into her hands. “He said he’d kill me!”
