Chapter Five B.B. 's Decision

B.B.'S P.O.V.

As he grabbed my hand to lead me out of the classroom where I had my first kiss, and oh what a kiss it was. I shook myself from my lustful thoughts, and reality hit me like a wave of hot lava. I planted my feet to the ground and pulled my hand from his instantly, feeling an ache in my heart calling for his touch again.

Maxwell looked back at me with confusion and hurt written all over his face. I needed to explain to him everything, I needed him to understand about our rules and requirements forced on us as The Crazy Eight. All the stupid expectations they have given us since birth, all eight of us feeling the weight and strife of it all on our shoulders. Just as I was about to speak, the bell rang, and kids started piling in the classroom.

" Please meet me at my house after school, so we can talk," I said to him with pleading eyes almost in tears from the look of sadness plastered on his face.

" There is no other place I'd rather be," he responded with a quick peck of my cheek as he quickly turned and left the room.

I had to talk with my family. I had to figure out a plan. Rejection isn't an option, not for me. I can already feel the intense pull to his soul and my wolf as already acknowledged his wolf and wants to claim them. I couldn't do that to any of us. The danger lies in the fact that The Council will for sure plot to get rid of him if they find out, I can't let that happen. We need to come up with a plan so all of us can be happy with our mates chosen or fated. I walked to my next class, linking the rest.

" Hey guys, we need to go straight home after school. There's something we should really discuss. This affects us all! "

" I also think we need to check the house and truck for bugs or any other type of devices, if we find any leave them in place, we don't want the Council to know we're on to them"

I was so deep in thought I didn't realize I was headed straight for Crystal and none other than Tad Waller himself. Oh great, as if my day hasn't been stressful enough, now I have to deal with twiddle dee and tweedle dumb too. "Guy's hallway of the Science building NOW" Linking my siblings because I know Blue will surely show herself as soon as either of them speak.

My patience has been running thin with this school and it's student's, I'm at my breaking point, and I know it.

I take a deep, steady breath and try to walk by them, not making eye contact to avoid interaction as much as possible. " Well, well, well, what do we have here, the big bad B.B. All by her lonesome. " What do you think we did to deserve such a treat, Crystal?" Tad says as he licks his lips and stalks close to me, giving himself the opportunity to rub on my body the whole way round, stopping in front of my face, touching nose to nose with me.

" I'm not sure Tad, but we should surely take advantage of this treat given by the Goddess, because she's never with out her lover brother, and the rest of the Blackwolf scum" she said while stalking around me from behind while grinning at Tad.

"Grrrrrrr don't speak of my family you mutt, you are nothing! " Blue had pushed herself forward and was fighting to shift and shut them up for good. Smack, I felt a burn on the side of my face as my head snapped in the opposite direction.

"Your family are the reason I lost my title. You shamed my family! Now I'm stuck with my stuck-up cousin and no pack!!!" Tad screamed in my face while shaking with rage.

I turned and grabbed Crystal by the throat and threw her at Tad, both landing in a heap on the floor, sliding into the nearby lockers.

"Yoooouuuuu, lost your pack because your a pompous, arrogant, unworthy, t**t who gets off on assaulting young women! You don't deserve to lead your own d**k, let alone a pack!!" I spit the last words like they were venom.

Blue was second's from completely shifting and killing them both. When I felt sparks on the shoulder and smelled his scent of cedar and pine. My siblings were there as well, enclosing the two against the lockers.

Maxwell grabbed my chin to turn me to face him, his eyes switching rapidly between his and his wolves. As soon as he saw the welt from Tad's large hand covering more than half my face, he growled and bared his canines at the two. Tad and Crystal were both cowarding against the lockers, begging that I started it and hit them first.

"We need to go, Maxwell just informed everyone were mates without realizing the consequences we need to get home and discuss everything and come up with a plan" My siblings all nodded in agreement, but to everyone's shock Maxwell did as well.

" Wait, Max? Can you hear my mind link? " I said while looking at everyone in disbelief.

" Yes Billie, I can hear you. How do you think I knew where you were when you called for help, I knew you didn't need back up. I figured you needed me to calm you down so you didn't kill someone, " he said with a full-on smile full of pride.

" Here we thought we'd have a boring and calm day, now we're all but outed to The Council and to the two people we despise most at this school! When the Council does find out and they will because we know they have paid eye's everywhere. They will be coming for Maxwell for sure!" Spade said with a look of almost excitement. He's been itching to defy the Council and turn the tables on them since my mother tried selling me off like cattle.

Spade and I had always been really close, Joey, too. I guess being the youngest and feeling like Ben and I were more parental figures, then siblings blurred the lines of a traditional family dynamic. Not to mention, we have mirror personalities, Joey and Ben are a lot alike, and Spade and I are very similar. The sharing of the birthday helps, too. All of us being Leo's makes for an interesting dynamic in the house.

As we all walked away from the two roaches in the Science building, not bothering to give them any more energy, making our way to our vehicle's.

" Hey, please ride with me?" Maxwell said while grabbing my hand to lead me to his car.

" Of course, it would feel weird not to at this point," I said while shrugging my shoulders like he shouldn't have even had to ask.

The car ride to our home was quiet and relaxing, Max not letting go of my hand once kissing my fingers every so often. I have to say I love the affection. It wasn't something given in our home , not in this way anyway.

Sure, us kids hugged and told each other we loved each other, but not often only when we sensed one of us really needed it, or after mom's punishments.

I shivered as I thought of my mother and the many memories I have of her, none of which are pleasant.

We pulled up to the house after my siblings. They quickly hopped out and filed in the house to check for bugs and any movement on the security footage.

Ben went to the shed to grab the detector and returned to sweep the suv. We found nine bugs total, one in each room of the house and one in the suv with a tracking device on the under carriage of the suv.

I mindinked everyone to meet me in the woods behind our house. They all knew where to go. Ben and I had made a make shift fort out of old boards and supplies we used to steal from construction sites when we we're kids. We built chairs and shelves out of what we collected and a door to an old cave we found.

We needed a place to go when our mother decided to stay for a few days. We made our way thru the trees and brush, finally coming to an opening in the rocks covered by our door made out of wood sheets stolen from tear down up the road. Piling in the fort and lighting candles to illuminate us from the darkness, we all sat down and started going over the next step.

Tuck - So we finally get to take down the Council and free us from this obligation we never agreed to. I wonder how long it will take Mother to figure out she's not getting money from us.

Tallie- Now you know she'll know before the Council does, how that woman can live with herself after what's she's done to Ben and B.B. for years is beyond me. I say we take her out first.

Ala- I think we should take them all out at the same time. That way, there's no loose ends.

Ben - I agree about loose ends, but taking out mom has to be up to Billie she deserves that most!

Spade - I can plant a bomb, fake our deaths, and maybe get some bodies from the morgue at the university. I have friends, you know.

Joey - yeah, but those friends you met thru the mission we've done for The Council, who knows where their loyalty lies.

Asa - If we could find a witch, we could spell the people that supply the bodies not to speak. It may not be permanent, but it will buy us time to get to Alaska!

Maxwell - I'm sorry, I don't mean to pry, but why go after your mother and what she used to do to B.B.? You all seem to have such contempt for her. And what about your father?

They all stiffen at my last words, then became somber looking down and fiddling with their hands. It was Ben who spoke up first.

Ben- Uh well, about our mother, that's not my story to tell, so when B.B. is ready, she will tell you. I can only say that B.B. and I would be punished for anything and everything. If we didn't do our chores to perfection, or train to her standards, eat all of food on our plate, smile or look her in the eye. We would be punished. They would range from being locked away for a couple day's to whipping with a horse whip or anything else she seemed fit at the time. We would try to take all of the punishments for the rest, but mom didn't like beating me so much, so she became hyper focused on B.B.. We think it's because she's the only one of us with our fathers eyes.

B.B.- Look, that's enough of that. The truth is this, our father is dead. We aren't sure of the details, just that he died a month before Ben and I were one, and Spade and Joey were born. As far as our mother, I'm not really interested in drudging up my history of abuse just to answer your curiosity. Now let's get to reason we all came here.

I didn't mean to sound so cold with my response, but Ben had talked enough for both of us and I didn't want my other siblings to know the extent of our mother's actions towards me.

I would hate if they looked at me with pity in their eye's or felt any guilt.

A part of me resented the fact that I didn't look like my mother completely, and the other part was thankful. I could never admit that out loud because they would think I thought of her when I looked at them, and that couldn't be further from truth.

My mother Winnie had a cold emptiness behind her sapphire eye's, almost making them dull and glossed over by film of gray. Plotting revenge on my mother would have to wait. Right now, my priorities are with the eight people sitting in front of me.

Suddenly, feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders, I let out a long sigh while rubbing my temples and racking my brain to come up with the perfect plan to keep us all safe.

Ben - I kinda like Spades plan about the bodies and the bomb. As well as Asa's idea with the witch, it could work. But before we go any further, there is something I need to know. As you guys know, I've been spending a lot of time with Isa, and I'd like to take her as my chosen mate. I hope you all will agree to let her come with us. She's just a gamma's daughter and his third child, so she will end up married off for title. So long story short we want to be together.

He closed his eyes and bit his lip, waiting for someone to have a bad reaction. When none of us spoke, he slowly opened his eyes to find all of us looking at him, smiling like fools.

B.B.- I'm not sure why you thought we didn't know any of this already, but if you need me to say it. I'm so happy for you, big brother. You deserve all the happiness in the world, and Isa is perfect and kind, I couldn't have chosen a better mate for you myself!

I slapped him on the shoulder and kissed his cheek. Ben just blushed and hugged me from the side. Two seconds later, I was pulled onto Maxwell's lap with his nose rubbed into my neck.

" You know he's my twin. The possessive nature of your wolf shouldn't extend to my siblings." giggling at his jealously.

"I'm sorry I didn't growl at least, this was the only way to calm Buck down, he doesn't want you smelling like anyone but us" "Sorry it's a Alpha thing" he said while shrugging his shoulders and giving me puppy eye's.

Tuck- Hmm hmm, I was wondering, after said bomb , we will be going to Alaska, correct? That's what I'm assuming anyways, the question is, Maxwell, are you willing to give up your pack and position to be with our B.B.?

I gulped, I hadn't even thought of that. What if he isn't willing to leave here with me, or what if he is and resents me later. Oh no, he's going to reject me!!!!

" Hey, reign it in there sis, your a catch he'd be a fool to reject you. Plus, I'd ripp his heart out if he did, " Spade said thru mindlink and gave me an evil grin before returning his gaze to Maxwell.

"You're absolutely right. I would be a fool to reject Billie, I never doubted leaving this pack. It's not even my pack, I was just given the position on a technicality. Plus, I hate my uncle and cousin. Their pack is made up of like-minded individuals. I wouldn't be losing anything and gaining EVERYTHING. " Maxwell responded to all of us over mindlink

"OK, now I'm officially freaked. How is he doing that, and how come you guys just realized your mates? We've known him for over a week now. Something is up. I can feel it, " Ala said as she looked at all of us with her brows furrowed.

" I'm with Ala on this. I feel like someone's been messing with us. It wasn't a conciedence that Elder Gretchen was here during that whole charade about the marriage to Maxwell."

" Do you think they are using magic on us? " Tuck rubbed the palms of his hands on his pants to dry his sweaty palms.

" Well, when I talked to Buck, he said Blue thinks they have been spelling you guys to keep your wolves suppressed from the mate bond. Blue also told him that she would love to talk to him more, but it takes all her energy to keep from hibernating because of the magic. If you ask me, you all are pretty powerful to be able to break an elder spell and still find your mates, " Maxwell said while kissing B.B. on the temple.

"Well, when I talked to Blue, she said she felt like there's more to it than that. She even asked me not to mate and mark Maxwell. We need to get to the bottom of all the magic they've been using on us and how long it's been going on. "

"Well, now that we know that we can use it to our advantage, let's iron out the rest of this plan and get to work. I want to get out of here sooner rather than later."

We finished talking and set back to go home, I walked Maxwell to his car. We agreed that he would go home tonight and get his things, then come stay with us from then on.

This way, with the bugs in place, the Council would already know he'd be in the house. Then maybe it would appease them considering they wanted us married anyway.

What could they do? Admit it was a bunch of B.S. Just to spell us all again. I kissed him goodbye and headed inside to shower and get in bed.
