The Billionaire’s Unexpected Love Chapter 2: The Ride That Changed Everything Sophie stared at Daniel Williams in disbelief. The rain continued falling heavily around them, but she barely noticed it anymore. The most powerful young billionaire in Lagos was standing right in front of her… asking her to enter his car. “Are you serious?” she asked. Daniel raised an eyebrow. “Do I look like someone who jokes about standing in the rain?” His driver quickly opened the back door of the car. The inside looked luxurious and warm. Sophie hesitated. Her mother had always warned her about trusting strangers… but this wasn’t exactly a stranger. This was Daniel Williams. The man whose face appeared on business magazines and billboards across the city. “Fine,” she said finally. “Just a ride.” Daniel gestured politely. “After you.” Sophie entered the car carefully, trying not to look impressed by the expensive interior. Daniel sat beside her. The door closed, and the car slowly began moving. For a moment, the car was silent except for the sound of rain hitting the windows. Then Daniel spoke. “So… why were you walking alone in the rain?” Sophie sighed and looked outside. “Bad day.” Daniel studied her quietly. “Boyfriend?” Her eyes widened. “How did you know?” He shrugged slightly. “Tears. Suitcase. Midnight rain walk. It’s a common story.” Sophie couldn't help but laugh a little. “You sound like a relationship expert.” “No,” Daniel replied calmly. “I just observe people.” There was something about his calm confidence that made Sophie curious. She turned to him. “Why did you stop for me?” Daniel didn't answer immediately. Instead, he looked directly into her eyes. His voice became softer. “Because I don’t believe in coincidence.” Sophie frowned slightly. “What does that mean?” Daniel leaned back in his seat. “It means… meeting you tonight might not be an accident.” Before Sophie could ask what he meant— The car suddenly stopped. She looked outside. Her eyes widened in shock. They were standing in front of a huge mansion. Daniel opened the door and stepped out. Then he turned to her and said something that completely stunned her. “Welcome home.” Sophie blinked in confusion. “Home? This isn't my house.” Daniel smiled slightly. “I know.” Then he added calmly— “But for tonight… it is.”
