Duke went home late that night. I didn’t even see him come but I woke up when I felt someone move beside me. I rubbed my eyes and saw that it was Duke and he just got home.
He looked exhausted and tired probably from everything that happened today.
“Hi,” I said.
“I’m sorry if I woke you up,” He said.
“No, it’s okay,” I said. “When did you come home?”
“Just a few minutes ago,” He said.
“How was the meeting? Did you eat already?” I said as I sat right next to him.
“Yeah, I did,” He said. “It went well and we agreed to add more soldiers at the borders.”
“How about the hunters? Are you going to look for them?” I said.
“We don’t plan on running after them,” He said. “That won’t be a wise move, but we’ll be ready to kill them if they come back here.”
