“Do you need anything?” Stacy asked anxiously, brushing a strand of my hair to the side.
“No, I am fine, thank you so much,” I responded calmly, sitting up on the bed and looking into her eyes.
“Have you finished your business around here?” I asked curiously, watching her expression change.
My question had come as a shock to her since it came out of the blues.
“Yes, why did you ask?” She responded suspiciously, shifting closer to me.
“Nothing, I just wanted to know if you are leaving soon,” I responded honestly, avoiding eye contact.
Stacy and Mama Flora had been my only comfort, helping me in those hard times but I knew it would soon be time for them to leave.
