“What is going on here?” I asked angrily, my feet planted where I stood.
Nothing was making any sense to me, I didn't want to believe that this was real.
“Eat this,” Leon said calmly, putting some more food into her bowl.
“Thank you, baby,” she responded softly, her eyes focused on where I stood.
She looked at me for a very long time, finally holding his hand to send her message fully.
I took a deep breath, put myself together, and walked away.
