“Where is my husband?” I asked one of the maids impatiently, as I stood up from my bed.
Calling Leon my husband made butterflies flutter in my belly.
“I don't know Ma but I think he will be back soon,” she responded quickly, holding my hands as I walked towards the sitting room.
I watched Leon leave the room and soon fell asleep.
I had just woken up and was told I had slept for four hours but my husband seemed not to have returned.
Everything seemed to be going well, but I felt uncomfortable about Leon being gone for so long.
“Please help me find my phone,” I said calmly, settling on one of the sofas in the sitting room.
I couldn't even remember where any of my stuff was, I just hoped that when Leon had carried me back, he would bring them with him.
