“What are you doing here?” I asked calmly, blinking my eyes in disbelief.
“Baby, I want us to talk,” he said quietly, hanging his head in shame.
“Baby?” I asked in shock, pinching myself.
Surely I was dreaming, this wasn't real, it couldn't be real.
I couldn't recall the last time Richard had called me anything sweet, not even when we were engaged.
“Yes baby, I need to talk to you, I know I hurt you but please just listen to me,” he rambled nervously, avoiding eye contact.
“Excuse me, are you out of your mind?” I asked angrily, staring him in the face.
This was completely unheard of and uncalled for.
