TREVOR'S POV
As I walked out of the diner, I couldn't shake the feeling that Ellaine was hiding something. She seemed so strong and independent, but I sensed a vulnerability beneath the surface. I decided to do some digging, not wanting to pry but feeling a strong urge to know more about her.
I asked my assistant to look into Ellaine's background, and it didn't take long to uncover her situation. Her mother was in need of a surgery, and Ellaine was working multiple jobs to cover the medical expenses. I felt a pang of sympathy and admiration for her. She was facing her challenges head-on, and I couldn't help but be drawn to her strength.
As I sat in my office, staring at the information on my screen, I couldn't help but think about my own family. My parents had been supportive of me, but they'd also been wealthy. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to struggle to make ends meet, to have to choose between paying bills and saving a loved one's life.
I made a decision then and there. I would help Ellaine, no matter what it took. I would make sure her mother got the surgery she needed, and I would do it without revealing my involvement. I wanted Ellaine to know that she wasn't alone, that there were people who cared about her and her family.
With a newfound sense of purpose, I began making arrangements. I would use my resources to get Ellaine's mother the best medical care possible, and I would do it with discretion. I couldn't wait to see the look on Ellaine's face when she found out.
