Chapter 2

2376 Words
“No, Alex, we don't have the resources to hit them directly right now,” his bored voices drones as he stares at the sun setting over the trees from the window on the top floor of the manor. Stirling Manor has always been a refuge for him. The Sterling family hailing from a long line of witches, had protected his secrets for millenia. Over 3000 years ago he met a young witch named Alessia after being attacked by a pack of shifters. She took him in knowing what he was, and nursed him back to health. Ever since the Sterling family has been under his protection. When Arthur Sterling passed without an heir, he purchased the home, only recently moving in. “Matthias, we need to keep up the pressure. It's only a short while until they slip up, and we can make them pay for what they did to-” Alex begins. “Alex, we may have been friends for over a thousand years, but I will end you if you say her name,” his voice was deadly calm, giving away nothing, but Alex knowing him well enough backed off. “Yeah, yeah, okay. I followed that vamp you let get away the other day like you asked by the way,” Alex says, peaking Matthias’ interest. “He met up at a bar with this female vamp, can't find anything on her though. I wasn't able to hear what they were talking about, something blocked it out,” he said with confusion. Alex’s hearing was unmatched, and the fact he couldn't hear the conversation was definitely intriguing. “Interesting, did you see anything else,” Matthias questions. “I had Brody follow her, while I stayed on Riker. Apparently she's went to Holloway Hills, checked herself into a shoddy hotel, and has been there ever since,” he responds, his interest obviously peaked as well. “Back off Riker for now, I want you to return here, see if you can follow her,” Matthias’ was very interested in what was to come. Did Riker send her to do his dirty work? Did he think she would be safe from him? She'll die just like his friends, maybe I'll send her head in a bag for him. “Sure thing,” Alex says before ending the call. Matthias’ thoughts filled with this mysterious girl, something inside him warned him not to underestimate her, and he wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. Riker isn't an i***t, he wouldn't have just some random girl try to retrieve the Grimoire. Things just may end up getting interesting here soon. ☆☆☆☆☆ Night had fallen the next day, and he was staring into the woods pondering this mystery women when he saw movement in the shadows. Expanding his sense, he couldn't detect anyone or anything from there. Focusing his eyes, he observed a small hooded figure hiding in some brush. The fact he couldn't sense her confused him. There wasn't a being alive who could go undetected from his gifts, yet he got nothing. If he had blinked he would've missed it, but she suddenly disappeared from his view. The bush she was in rustles, and then nothing. With confusion he descends the stairs, when he hears the faintest noise of a door clicking closed from the servants hallways. Immersing himself in the shadows and hiding his signature, he waits. A small figure creeps up the hall, her hair shielding with the hood of her jackets, but Matthias could see her silvery eyes as they roamed every corner. He felt his stomach tighten when her eyes glanced over him. The loose black jeans and baggy hoodie tried to hide her figure, but he could make out the curves of her body and he felt his d**k stiffen in his jeans as her ass jiggled while she walked. Matthias still couldn't sense her, but he could see her once more. She may have had a chance if she would've remained invisible the whole time, but her arrogance will end her life. Following silently, and keeping in the shadows he followed her through the manor. She reached the steps to his floor and paused. It was then he felt just the smallest hint of her power and it drew his from its cage against his will. His power caressed hers and he felt a string snap into place in his soul. The string leading him straight to the woman in front of him. Amusement filled him, of course she would be the one person who could escape his clutches. He saw her body stiffen, and heard her breath catch. She slowly turned around, her silver eyes wide with fear and confusion. Her plush pink lips parted on a ragged breath, and he fists clenched at her side. “Well, well, well, what do we have her, hmm? If it isn't the fox trying to sneak into the henhouse, don't you know there might be snakes in there little fox,” Matthias lilted, jovially. His blue eyes bright with projected malice. Her silver eyes narrowed at him, and she smirked. “Good thing the fox is faster than the snake, isn't it,” her voice was soft and musical, and shot straight to his c**k. An amused smile raised his lips, and as he made a move to grab her… she disappeared. He let out a frustrated growl, and went to turn around to chase her when he felt energy racing towards him. Before he could put up a shield, the energy crashed into him, zapping at his muscles and forces them to stop responding. Matthias lets out a roar of rage, and he hears a mocking giggle fading into the distance. “You can run, and you can hide little fox, but the Dragon will find you! And when I do, you'll be begging me to stop,” he yells at her retreating form. Despite the fact he was beaten, despite the fact his muscles burned from him trying to use them again, his d**k was painfully hard at the power of HIS little fox. Oh he'll find her, and he'll make sure she'll never run from him again. ☆☆☆☆☆ It has been 3 months since his little fox broke into his home. It has been 3 months since he began hunting her down. It has been 3 months and there hasn't even been a whisper about the silver eyed menace. “I think I found something, boss” Alex says as he enters my open office door, it was night once more, and the meories of his fated plauging his mind. Matthias’ eyes shoot to him as he waits for his second's information. He drops a file onto my desk. “Her name is Lyra, turned in 1843 by an unknown master in a small fishing village in Greece. Records report she was a binger after being turned, Riker found her after she had chewed the head from the neck of her latest victim a matter of days before the council sent someone to exterminate her. Together the two of them left Greece and traveled around from place to place. He taught her to control her bloodlust, they parted ways in 1894 only seeing each other on occasion…” Alex trailed off at the end, his brown eyes darting to the wall. “What's with the look Alex,” Matthias grounded out, having an idea as to what he's not saying. “Well… when they met up they always… checked into a room together,” Alex trailed off with a nervous energy, a hand dragging through his shoulder length brown hair. Before Matthias realized it, his desk was out the window crashing into a stoned statue shattering both to pieces. His chest heaved, his fangs elongated, and his fists clenched as rage filled his veins. It wasn't abnormal for your destined to have had partners in the past, especially for us immortals, but for her to have slept with him. After all the atrocities this man has committed, sent him into a rage. Alex took a cautious step back, but otherwise remained silent and still as Matthias raged. Pacing the floor, tugging on his finger length black hair, feral growls leaving him. “Where. Is. She?” Matthias’ voice didn't sound like his own. There was a viciousness bleeding into it that had even Alex feeling nervous. “She returned to Holloway yesterday, she's at the same hotel,” Alex said stoically. Without a word, Matthias launches himself out of the broken window, his body phasing into black mist as he trails through the dark, moonless sky. Dropping into the woods behind the rundown motel with his presence masked, he growls from the shadows. Movement catches his eye as he sees a curvy woman with long black hair, wearing a pair of black denim shorts and a red tube looking top with a loose black mesh top thrown over it. The woman turns around, and even from a distance he can see those haunting silver eyes. His eyes roam her curvy form, thick thighs, her soft stomach spilling a bit over the top of her shorts that show the bottom of her juicy ass, large breasts treating to spill from the tube top, and the glint of a navel piercing shining from the overhead light. He was so entranced with her he almost didn't notice the man approach her. None other than Alric Riker stood there with his hands in his pockets. He heard her musical voice say, “Hey Ric,” before silence ensued. He could see her mouth move, but no words coming out. Due to his advanced hearing he never learned to read lips, and he was regretting that right now. She gave him a smile and opened her arms to hug him, Matthias’ fists clench as the man’s arms wrap around her, his hands skimming the exposed skin of her waist. She pulled back with a look of discomfort and confusion on her beautiful face. Satisfaction rolled through him. She obviously hasn't been taught about fated bonds or she wouldn't have ran from him, but her body was already beginning to reject other’s touch. She waves to Riker, and turns to return to her hotel room. Riker stands in place for a long moment, staring at her door, before turning towards a blacked out sedan sitting in the parking lot. Riker entered the back of the car, before it pulled out and drove off. Matthias stayed hunched for a few more moments, ensuring the car was gone before he ran to the door, getting there in under a second. He pressed his ear to the door, and heard the shower running. His c**k hardens at the thought of her body, naked, with warm water trailing down those full breasts. Dripping down between those thick thighs, warming her p***y even more. I picture myself wrapping those long locs, darker from the water, around my fist yanking her head back as my c**k rams into her from behind. Telling her how good she feels when her p***y grips my c**k, how good and deep she'll take me, seeing her pale skin redden from my hands slapping that plush ass. He groans lowly at the image. Keeping his power hidden, he reaches out with it and unlocks the door. He enters quietly, there's a single unmade bed in the worn room, a stained chair seated by the window that had a rattling AC unit under it. A round wooden table had a notepad on it with an address scribbled on it. He took his phone from his pocket, snapping a picture of the address and sending it to Alex to trace. He puts his phone back in his pocket when he notices a pile of clothes dropped on the floor in front of the bathroom door. Impulsively, he pulls a skimpy, black, lace thong from the pile. Lifting it to his nose, he breathes deeply, growling at her feminine scent. Suddenly, the shower turns off, and he hears the shower curtain open. Retreating, he takes a seat in the stained chair, and clasps his hands together behind his head. She walks out, skin still dripping, in the threadbare tiny white towel. Humming a little, she grabs her toothbrush from the counter, without noticing him. She dampens the toothbrush and puts some toothpaste on it before turning around. Her silver eyes widen, and she chokes a gasp, flinging toothpaste as she does. Fighting off a smile, Matthias simply stares at her. “Why hello there little fox, it seems you didn't run far enough,” he says with a savage grin. “Look, I'm sorry, someone asked me to do it. I had no choice,” she stampers out with fear, but her eyes roam the room. His little fox was pretending to be scared, trying to bide her time till she can escape, but unfortunately for her, he is ready this time. Standing, he leans against the door without taking his eyes off her. Her eyes narrow at the movement, and the faintest clench of her jaw confirmed the little minx was a clever little thing. “I don't care about who sent you or why, I already have those answers, little fox. What Riker wants from you isn't a mystery,” Matthias grounds out. Her back stiffens at his name, and her eyes widen. “Then why are you here,” she whispers. A cruel smile spread across his lips, and he stalked closer to her. She takes a step back, finding her back pressed against the counter, her breathing stuttering with fear as he stalks closer. A faint scent of lust poured from her, accompanying the fear, and his smile widens. “Why little fox?” Step. “You want to know why?” Step. “Isn't it obvious?” Step. As his hips press against her, rubbing his stiff c**k against her body. “Because,” he leans down, his breath hitting the shell of her ear, his hands running up the outside of her bare thighs, “you are mine.” He seals his claim by clamping his fangs onto her neck.
