CHAPTER 3 : A LOST MEMORY

[SHROUD FLASHBACK] {SHROUD WAS STANDING INFRONT OF HIS FATHER} "Father ! Where am I ?", he asked in confusion . "It's a lost memory shroud", replied his father with a smile on his face . [ He stood tall, his ruggedly handsome face a testament to his 40 years of battling the forces of darkness. His hazel green eyes gleamed with a knowing intensity, a hint of warmth and kindness lurking beneath their piercing gaze. His dark brown hair cascaded down his back like a waterfall of night, its long strands framing his face and accentuating his chiseled features. A small smile played on his lips, a hint of mischief and confidence that spoke of a thousand victories over the forces of evil. His skin was weathered and bronzed, a map of scars and battle-won imperfections that told the story of a life spent fighting for the light. Despite his rugged appearance, there was an aura of quiet authority and wisdom about him, a sense of depth and compassion that put those around him at ease. He was a warrior, a protector, and a guardian - a demon slayer of unyielding courage and unwavering dedication ] . "Where are you ? You can't leave me alone", he said with pain in his voice . "I'm always with you shroud . I hope you'll find what you've been choosen for", he said and vanished into the air .

[SHROUD GOT OUT OF HIS FLASHBACK] "It must be something big behind this . Why can't I remember anything . My heart and my brain denies whatever they say", he whispered to himself as he fell on his knees . Suddenly , he heard some strange voices in his head again . "I got this ! The voices always leads to me somewhere", he whispered to himself and closed his eyes . "What is this feeling . I'm feeling....like I got my powers back . I can remember my powers . Was....was that really true that I forgot everything?", he whisperely asked to himself in confusion . He thought about it for some minutes . I'll use my powers then . Only for you , father !", he whispered to himself with a smile on his face . He got up with courage . "Power 8 {THE DEATH COMBO}", he said with a laugh and suddenly , his sword vanished into the air . "I can feel the power of that blade . I can do anything from it now", he whispered to himself . Suddenly , he teleported to an unknown place . [ The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decay as you descended into the underground lair. The walls were slick with moss and blood, the ground uneven and treacherous. Shelves and pedestals lined the walls, displaying a collection of magical items that glowed with an otherworldly light. In the center of the room, a demon was held captive by ancient chains that seemed to hum with magic. The demon's eyes blazed with fury, its skin a deep crimson as it struggled against its restraints. A red gemstone was embedded in its forehead, pulsing with dark energy. The chains were wrapped around a massive stone pedestal, covered in runes that shimmered with a faint blue light. The pedestal seemed to be draining the demon's power, keeping it subdued and trapped. The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from the magical items and the faint glow of the moss that covered every surface. The atmosphere was heavy with the weight of dark magic and the stench of blood and decay ] . "What the hell is this place? Uhhhh ! It's disgusting", he whispered to himself . He was shocked when he looked at the demon who was captured in magical chains . "What the hell is even that?", he asked to himself in shock . He came closer to the demon to have a better look . When he saw the gem , he thought that it must be his hint and he took it off from the demon's forehead with his powers . Suddenly , the demon teleported right next to him . He was very powerful that even shroud was shocked and he was shivering . "I can smell your powers . You're not a human nor a demon . Who even are you?", asked the demon . "Why is it concerning to you ?", asked shroud in furry . "I was just curious about it but it's okay if you don't wanna tell because I'll kill you now", said the demon with an evil laugh as he used his magical blood blade and stabbed shroud on his right leg so he couldn't run from it . "I'll use my powers then . Power 5 {THE DEATH ARROWS} ", said shroud and as he said that , a lot of powerful magical arrows hit the demon but it didn't even gave it a scratch . "What's your plan ? Kill me with filthy arrows ?", the demon asked with an evil laugh . "What's with that demon ? He's more powerful than normal demons . I can't hold him for too long and besides that , I'm feeling my heartbeat is increasing every second" he whispered to himself . The demon teleported right next to shroud and attacked him but suddenly the demon lady which shroud spared teleported between the demon and shroud and surprisingly , she stopped the demon's attack with her bare hands . "Are you willing to die too?", the demon asked with an evil laugh . "How do you even got here ?", asked shroud in confusion . "I'm here to kill you shroud . Don't think you're safe", said the lady demon with a smile on her face . "Power 2 {THE MAGICAL WORLD}", said the demon with an evil laugh as they all got teleported into an unknown dimension . "What the hell ? What even is he?", shroud whisperely asked to himself in shock . "You're quite a formidable opponent . I didn't expect to fighting you today", said shroud with a laugh . "And I didn't expect to be fighting you , shroud but seems like I didn't got a choice here", replied the demon lady with an evil laugh . "Enough ! I want some fun", said the demon as he roared . "Looks like we got a common enemy , shroud . Wanna team up and take him down first?", asked lady demon to shroud . "For now , let's put our differences aside and fight together . But don't think this means I won't kill you once we're done with him", said shroud to demon lady . "Fair enough . Let's do this !", said demon lady with an evil laugh . Shroud's hand turned into a blood blade by its own and the demon lady created a magical sword with her powers . They both charged at the demon , their swords clashed with its paws . The battle ragged on , with three of them fighting with their full powers . "You can't defeat me . I'm the leader of the underworld", said the demon as he snarled . "We'll see about that . Shroud let's finish this", said lady demon as she smirked . "Together . Now !", said shroud as he nodded . Shroud and the demon lady stroked their final blows , their swords plunged deep into the demon's heart , defeating him . "You played a good roll . I'll spare you once more . I need you to come with me", said shroud . "Oh hell ! I'm shivering from your fear", replied the lady demon with an evil laugh . "Now we have to find a way out of here", said shroud with a sigh . "You don't even know how to use magnificent magic", said the lady demon as she opened a portal infront of them and went in . "Impressive ! I like this girl", said shroud with a smile and went in the portal .

[SCENE SHIFTS TO THE OTHER SIDE] "Can I know your name?", asked shroud . " My name is Lilith . I'm the princess demon but no one knows that", replied Lilith . " Princess ?..... Uhh ! Nevermind , I'm shroud . I'm a demon slayer who lost his memories", he replied . "What's your main objective", asked Lilith . "I don't know I'm still looking for it . I need some help for this", he replied . "And why you need my help ? ", Lilith asked . "I don't need your help , I just....I don't know ! . I...I just don't know , I'm doing what I feel is right to do", said shroud with a sigh . "I'll kill you for sure some day , shroud . You're lucky that you are with me ", she said with a smile . "Anyways I think we should go towards the forest . It's hiding something in it for sure", he whispered . "Let's go on a hunt", she said with an evil laugh . They both continued their journey towards the woods . They were both walking when they heard an evil laugh from behind . "What the hell ? Why am I shaking ?", shroud whisperely asked to himself in shock . He looked back and saw devil hearted laughing evilly on a tree . He had a blood blade and fresh blood stains were on his face . "Devil hearted ! ", Lilith said as her body started to shake from fear . "Devil hearted ?", asked shroud in confusion . "Your blood is very sweet . That's why you're pulling girls", said devil hearted with an evil laugh . "How does he know about my blood?", he whisperely asked to himself . Suddenly , shroud felt warm on his chest an when he looked at it , he was shocked to see that there was a deep and a huge cut on his chest . "Hell ! How did he attacked me without even letting me notice ?", shroud whisperely asked to himself . "I can feel your fear . I love when they fear me", said devil hearted with an evil laugh . "What do you want from me ?", shroud asked in furry . "I don't need anything from you . I'll let you live if you let kill me kill that lady demon . She's a threat to you", said devil hearted as he pointed at the lady demon . "Over my dead body . Lilith ! Use your powers and run", said shroud . "What about you ?", Lilith asked . "I'll meet you some day again . Do as I say , he's my hunt ", said shroud . Lilith didn't wanted to leave shroud's side but she had not choice and she escaped using her powers . "That's wasn't very nice of you ", said devil hearted in furry . "Indeed", said shroud with an evil laugh . "You dare to interfere with my plans , shroud? You'll pay for helping that lady demon escape", said devil hearted as he snarled . "Ah ! Devil hearted . Always so quick to anger . What's got you riled up this time ?", asked shroud with an evil smile . "You know exactly what I'm talking about ! You let her escape and now she's gone into hiding . I'll never find her", said devil hearted in furry . "May be you should have thought twice before killing her . She's a powerful ally and a formidable for", said shroud as he struggled . "You'll regret crossing me . Prepare to die", said devil hearted (enraged) . They engaged in a fierce battle , their swords clashed and their powers raged . The battle didn't went as planned as devil hearted's furry gave him an edge , and he gained the upper hand .

"You're no match for me , shroud", said devil hearted whispered to himself . Shroud used his powers to attack devil hearted but he was too fast for him . Everytime shroud attacked him , he teleported anywhere around him , making him always undefeatable . Shroud didn't had any powers left to fight any more and he got on his knees . "Your meddling has sealed your fate", said devil hearted as he sneered . "I...won't go down without a fight", said shroud talking deep breaths . "Foolish mortal . You should've stayed out of this", said devil hearted as he raised his swords to kill shroud . Just as devil hearted was about to kill him , he hesitated and lowered his sword . " It's Better for you to kill me", said shroud . "I won't kill you, shroud . You're too worthy to be an opponent . But I'll not be as friendly as this time", said devil hearted . "Go to HELL", said shroud in furry . "I'll meet you there then", said devil hearted with an evil laugh as he vanished into the air . "Damn you ! My heartbeat is increasing like hell . I'm feeling like my heart's gonna explode", said shroud as his eyes closed .
