Damian stood over her, the bat slung over his shoulder. “You’re mine now, my lovely,” he said. “If you stop running right now, I’ll let you live. Better than that, we can go back to your apartment, and I can finally show you what it’s like with me inside you. I know you’ve dreamed about it. I sure have. It will be beautiful.” Christina was losing it, making gasp-like sobs from the grimy concrete floor. “Why are you doing this?” she begged. “Because we’re meant to be together,” he said. “I’ve always known it, right from the first time I saw you. And soon, you will, too.” “You’re nuts,” Christina gasped. “If you really want something, no one can stand in your way,”
