Chapter Twenty-Seven Last man standing. My world filled with a kaleidoscope of pain. Ankle throbbing. Shards of agony piercing the fingers of my left hand. Everything was spinning but I sent a foot hard into the right knee of the beast towering over me as he swung for my head. He yelled, stumbled. It was all the space I needed. I scrambled to my hands and knees and charged him. He roared, raised the board, and we collided as he brought it down.
