36 AndreaAndrea checked the dashboard clock as she nosed the Ford into a parking slot. Nine-forty-seven. Pleased, she turned off the ignition. She’d parked behind a modern two-story building. Its top floor jutted out over the ground floor and two unbroken lines of windows ran along each floor at the midpoint. Their reflective glass broke up the white facade with colorful images of blue sky and the pink flowering dogwoods scattered across the green lawn. She got out of the cruiser and stretched, inhaling the light floral scent of dogwood blossoms. Kent emerged from the other side and pushed his door shut. He raised his arms and yawned.
