Chapter 3 : Who is Lord Aiden?

General Leo's POV

"Good morning, Grandpa," Liam said as he ran to me and gave me a hug

" good morning, Liam. How was your night," I asked while hugging him back

" it was not too fine, Grandpa. You promised to send for me when you were done discussing with your guest yesterday, and you didn't. I waited for you until 9 pm," Liam whined childishly

"oh, I'm so sorry, my boy. You know, after discussing with my guest yesterday, an urgent matter came up, and I had to rush to attend to it immediately. I'm sorry," I apologized

" it okay, Grandpa," he said, smiling, and I patted his head softly

" I saw your guest storming out angrily yesterday. Did you guys quarrel?" he asked with concern

" no, we didn't. He just got angry with me because I gave him some advice. He is so stubborn, like his late father. I hope he doesn't end up dying like him," I said and sighed

" Grandpa, I have something to ask you," Liam said

" who is his father?" I asked Liam as I turned and faced him

" No, who is Lord Aiden?" he said, and I chuckled

"Grandpa, I've been really curious about him. Once, my dad almost fell off the stairs when the president called him and told him that he was going to represent our country at The Generals' Meeting and present our country's case to Lord Aiden. My dad couldn't eat throughout the day, and he said it was because he was so scared of Lord Aiden. I also overhead heard my mom telling her friend to tell her husband not to say anything throughout the meeting so he wouldn't attract Lord Aiden's attention that it would be very dangerous to do so, and I recently saw on the news that he str*ngled two generals at once with his two hands and they both lost consciousness and yesterday you and General Reggie said that Lord Aiden is my uncle. I'm very curious grandpa who is he? is he a villain or something? and how come he is my uncle and I don't know him?" Liam asked curiously and I laughed

" Are you that's curious about him?" I teased him

" yes, Grandpa," he whined again

"Okay, I'll tell you everything about him from the day he was born." I paused and began

" Lord Aiden is my last child and only son," I said, and Liam gasped in surprise

" yes, he is my son. Are you surprised?" I asked him

" yes, Grandpa, I'm very surprised. If he is your son and my uncle, then why don't I know him because, of course, I know Aunty Ella and Aunty Aria, and why is my dad scared of him, and why is he strangling people, Grandpa?" Liam whined curiously

" calm down, Liam. I'll tell you everything. Just calm down and listen to me attentively, okay?" I said, and Liam nodded, and I continued

"Yes, Lord Aiden is my son. He was a very strange child from birth. When he was born, he refused to cry. All efforts from the doctors and nurses to make him cry proved abortive. He was pinched severally and even slapped, yet he refused to cry, so we had to take him home like that since he was alive. At home, Aiden refused to eat or drink anything, including breast milk. He would lay quietly during the day and cry heavily at night, and no matter what grandma, I, his sisters, and other maidens did to make him stop crying, he doesn't stop until the next day."

"What? he didn't eat anything at all. How, then, did he survive?" Liam interrupted me

"I'll tell you, just keep listening and don't interrupt me again till I'm done, okay?" I said, and he nodded, so I continued again

"Aiden started walking at three months old and talking at five months old. Doctors and Scientists trooped into our house daily to examine this strange child. When he was two years old, a Doctor and Scientist called Doctor Steve came and examined him and said he was an abnormal child with supernatural abilities and strength that were too much for him to control, and that was why he couldn't sleep and eat and the reason he is still alive even after not eaten anything for two years is because he has a special glucose in his body that is sustaining him but that special glucose can only last him for only 25 years and on his 25th birthday he would die, and the only way he could avoid the death is if starts eating and sleeping which is impossible because of the too much strength and abilities he possesses. As Aiden grew up, he became a nuisance; anything fragile he touched would break because of his uncontrollable strength. He became very stubborn and troublesome, beating up his friends and schoolmates because they insulted him, scaring the maidens who came to attend to him, and purposely destroying things whenever he was angry. But apart from being a nuisance, Aiden also grew smart and intelligent. He was promoted far above his mates because he was very brilliant, and holding him down with normal education procedures would be a waste of knowledge and time. At the age of 10, he graduated from the University with a first-class degree in Cyber Security, and many companies rushed to hire him to work for them, and he made a lot of fortune. However, he never stopped being troublesome, and his anger grew even more uncontrollable. He would leave the house and go out and cause problems and one day he beat up 2 of his employers to stupor because they insulted him and called him a devil. I had to beg them and pay for damages so he wouldn't get sued, and luckily, they accepted and didn't sue him, but he lost all his contract because of that incidence. Nobody was willing to employ him again, and no one cared to hear his own side of the story. Everyone just concluded that he was a demon child that causes trouble and beat up his employers, and everyone hated him. Grandma and I also began to h*te him as we began to lose face in the outside world. People started addressing us as the parent of a demon child, and we even started losing work contracts because of him. Back at home, Aiden indeed became a demon because of what he was going through. He started constituting more nuisance than he constituted before. And one day, we returned from work only to meet something shocking at home. Aiden has broken a lot of our properties and even str*ngled three of our staffs to lose consciousness that tried to stop him. We got fed up that day and plotted to k*ll him because we became tired of his problems, and on the day we planned to kill him, he dictated it somehow and ran away to my friend's house General Williams, General Reggie's father, and when he got there, he saw them mercilessly beating a slave girl named Marcella for disrespecting her Master, General Williams. and instead of going in to ask for shelter, Aiden untied the slave girl and fled away, injuring 12 of General Williams guards, including his son, Reggie that tried to stop him from saving the slave girl. That same day, General Williams stormed into my house angrily with lots of soldiers demanding for Aiden. I begged him to calm down and tell me what happened, and when he told me, I was shocked. I called Aiden on the phone and asked him to return the slave girl and apologize to General Williams, or I'd disown him, but he refused and asked me to disown him if I wanted to, after all, I was already planning to kill him, so I disowned him on the phone and asked him never to return to my house ever again, and he didn't. He escaped with the slave girl to a neighboring country and they managed to gain the country's citizenship, and when he was 18, Aiden and the slave girl applied for the country's army and were picked. A year later, our country and their country got into a fight because of a piece of land. The president of their country was very scared of us because we had a stronger defense and promised to reward any soldier who was going to lead the army to war handsomely. And, of course, Aiden came out and led the army against us, and General Williams led us to the battle. The battle lasted for only three days, and we were almost defeated by Aiden and his soldiers. General Williams got provoked and decided to go face Aiden himself, and I, his second in command, tried to stop him, but he refused to listen to me, he told me I was only trying to stop him because Aiden was my son and I didn't want him to die but he was going to help me kill him so I left him alone, and he went against Aiden. And Aiden killed him without any weapons. Aiden dodged all his attacks, caught him by his neck, and strangled him to death. And since our general was dead, we had to retreat and leave the land for them, and that country's president rewarded Aiden by making him a general and giving him lots of money and lands, and Aiden became Rich and powerful. Three years later, the world got into World War 3, and Aiden singlehandedly subdued all the Generals and countries that were fighting and stopped the war. And when he was being interviewed by the World Security Council, he said he did it because many weak people were going to die during the war, and he didn't want it to happen. At this, the World Security Council asked him how they would honor him for his courageous and thoughtful act, and he said he wanted them to create a group called The Generals Meeting where all the Generals of all countries in the world would come together once in a while and rub minds together to discuss peace and settle their international dispute and avoid international wars, and the council agreed and created it and made him the Lord of the Generals giving him that position to help keep peace among every country of the world pending when he was going to die at the age of 25, but Aiden didn't die at 25 rather he has lived for another three more years again and scientist and doctors are still yet to find out the reason why and recently another news came up about him that he would be dying at the age of 29 and now we don't know what to believe about him anymore" I concluded and Liam sighed

"Whoah, I think he is something," Liam said and shooked his head in amazement

"but he is now a keeper of peace. Why did he start str*ngling people again? " Liam asked curiously again

"Well, I never told you he stopped before. He only kept peace among the countries but not among the Generals as he punishes any General that questions him or challenges him including me, his father," I replied
