Author's POV "What is Mālavikāgnimitram" He searched on the internet. He was shocked to see Wikipedia. He read out all the information about this play and shook his head. It was a play written by Kalidasa and it is a love story of King Agnimitra and princess Malavika. Prithvi couldn't understand its relationship with them. "What the f**k!" He slammed the desk and got up. He straightly moved to exit when he heard some noise coming out of Mili's chamber. The door was opened. "Hey, Mili! Let's party tonight," Cherry shouted with cheers. Shiv was also there. "Congratulations!" Varun, one of the employees said loudly while getting in. "Thanks!" Mili smiled brightly. "You rock, buddy! I must say, PR will reward you for this," Varun said while sitting on the chair. "Mili, please, Party," Cherry was requesting Mili. Prithvi halted for a while and took a glance inside the chamber. Shiv was sitting at the table and was very close to Malvika. He glanced at Cherry, who was still chirping, "Please, Mili, please, Mili." "Why the hell, all the staff is calling her Mili, isn't her name Malvika?" Prithvi thought and his blood boiled when he saw, shiv holding her hand. "Mili, please, say yes, we will go to the pub," Shiv also behaved like a kid. "Okay, okay, wait... Let me think guys, for now, you should leave, I will tell you before we leave the office," Mili said raising her hands. "But please, say yes, never say -no," Shiv got up and patted her back. "See you later," Everyone got up. As they were coming out, Prithvi stepped back rapidly. "By the way, free at lunch?" Shiv asked before getting out. No one was there except Mili and Shiv. "Yeah," Mili thought for a while and then answered. "Let's have lunch outside," Shiv requested and Mili thinned her lips. She thought before saying yes because she knows that Cherry has a deep crush on Shiv. "Sure, but," she hesitated. Hearing her answer, Prithvi left the place. He wasn't feeling well. Why is her outing with Shiv making him angry? "But?" Mili sighed and got up. She came close to Shiv and said, "Shiv, I need to talk to you." "I'm all ears, just say," Shiv stepped in again. "Shiv, I cannot come alone," Mili changed her words and stated differently from her mind. She was going to tell him that Cherry likes him and he should focus on her if he likes her. But at the last moment, she thought that Cherry should confess her feelings to him. This is not her right to tell Shiv about Cherry's feelings. "Then?" Shiv was confused. "I'll be there with Cherry. As you know, we are always together. So..." Mili paused and thinned her lips, "I'm sorry." "No, it's ok. The trio of us will go out," He smirked and headed back to his office. Mili was still confused. Her friends are asking for a party tonight and she can not go home late at night due to the presence of the king. She tried hard to conclude but failed and gave up in the end. She started planning for further projects. This is the head office of the PR groups of Industries. So here, she has to manage all work, which means all types of business work. She received a new file through peon. He handed her and said, "Shivay sir has sent it to you." "Okay and thank you," She smiled and grabbed the file. There was a title on the file. She read aloud, "The Rajasthan Fashion show." "It's gonna held in Jaipur," She mumbled and opened it with interest. She seems to be excited. She started studying it and finalize the details before she sent it to her Boss PR. *** Prithvi was still fighting why this girl is hovering over his brain. Why can't he let her go off? "Sir, the jet is ready," Pranav bowed and informed him. "Okay, I'm coming," He smirked. He called, "Come in my office, right now." Mili was startled by the sudden call. It is the first time, he called her. She sighed and headed towards the chamber of PR. "May I?" She asked looking at him through the half-opened door. "Yes," he got up and ordered her, "Let's go we are going to Surajgarh." "What?" She was shocked. "Why? I mean why would I?" She was too surprised and shocked as well. She wanted to spend time with her friend and too with him. But she knows this would never gonna happen as per his words. "I mean, you said that you wanna go alone," She argued. "You are not safe here, so come with me," Prithvi said irritably. Mili shook her head. She doesn't wanna argue with him, because she knows that he will not hear her excuses. She also wants to escape because her friends will not hear her and drag her to the pub. She got a chance to escape and she will get some time with him. She sighed dramatically and asked, "When are we leaving?" "In half an hour," He rudely answered. "Okay," She sighed and left the chamber. Mili came out and texted Shiv that she can not go for lunch with him as she has to go with PR to visit Surajgarh. After half an hour, they are getting out of the office. Prithvi was satisfied with unknown happiness. He doesn't like her closeness with Shiv. He just did it to keep her away from him. In a few hours, they are in the Surajgarh. When the private jet landed, a black sedan car was waiting for them. As they got in, the car picked up the speed. In just a few minutes, the car stood in front of the entrance of the palace. The beautiful palace was glowing with its outstanding beauty. There was a too hot atmosphere. She covered her head with a scarf and followed Prithvi. Mili gasped seeing the palace, "Woww!" "Hello, King Padmanabhsinh Ji," Prithvi bowed and greeted. "Good noon, Sir," Mili greeted while touching his feet. He smiled happily and blessed both of them. "Come and have a seat," The king gestured and sat before they sit. "Prince Prithviraj Rathore," He groaned and narrowed his eyes and began, "What brought you here?" "Your palace," The prince smirked. "This is our heritage, I told you that I'm not gonna sell it until I'm alive," The king felt disgusting and rude to Prithvi. "Well, I'm not here to insult you, but you know that you can't afford the maintenance cost of the palace. Then why are you so stubborn and glued to the decision of not selling the palace," Prithvi drank water and said. Mili doesn't like the way he talked to the king. Though, He is the king of the small Kingdom, he has respect and pride. "Sir, I'm sorry on his behalf," Mili interrupted their conversation. "Who are you?" The king asked as he noticed her. He was so tense and didn't notice when she got in and sat next to Prithvi. "I'm Mili and I work for him," She smiled. Prithvi growled and glanced at her. She introduced herself as Mili and cut off him. "How do you work with this arrogant?" The king chuckled and Mili also joined him. In just a second, they are laughing. "Let me show you the palace," the king got up and led her. She understood that he was trying to avoid this talk about selling the palace and Prithvi. Mili and the king left Prithvi alone in the living hall and roamed in the palace. Mili talked to the king and understood his problems and feelings too. "Then why don't you wanna sell it?" She asked with so much care. "Of course, I'm facing problems but if I will sell this palace, I will lose my respect. Prince will make it Hotel and my employees will lose their job," He sighed and gulped hard. "Do you have any other palace or houses?" Mili asked. "Yes of course, but this i***t wants this only because of its beauty and place," He chuckled. "Then, let's make a deal, you don't sell this but ask him for partnership and add one more condition that your employees will get a Job in this hotel," Mili gave an idea. He thought for a while and shook his head positively. "I will make sure that he will not change the original beauty of the palace. The things in the palace will be kept safe. If you want to show it in the hotel, it will be kept as it is, or if you want to put it in the museum, we will build a museum on the ground floor," Mili said. The king thought deeply and smiled, "Smart girl. Give him some emotions and sense." Both laughed and wandered the palace. She was so happy looking at the beauty of the palace. She praised, "It's so beautiful. The word beautiful is lesser to describe it." "You are so smart and intelligent, why are working under him," The king asked her and she chuckled. "I got the placement there after completing my MBA," She answered and he nodded. The king led her toward the living room and they came back. Prithvi was boiling in anger, though he was silent. He waited for them for more than an hour. When the king and Mili return, they talk like they are old friends. Mili has the best nature to make friends and her talks are so polite. Her sweet and cute nature makes her befriend the king despite the generation gap. She respects elders and their feelings. "So, What have you decided?" Prithvi asked desperately. He was bored and was feeling like he has wasted his time. "Well, my new friend has given me some ideas, I will think about it and let you know later," The king said and left him hanging. Prithvi was angry about why this old man is not ready to accept his proposal when he is facing a big money crisis. He loosened his time and got up. "Are you coming or not?" He roared while getting up. "Of course not," The king answered and added, "Both of you are my guests, and our tradition is not allowing me to let you go without dinner. So, wait Mr. Rathore." Mili and the king talked a lot about the history of this palace. Prithvi was getting bored but his attention was caught by Mili's smile and her way to befriend the king. Soon, they were called for dinner. They skipped Lunch, Mili was hungry too. They freshened up and went to have dinner with the king. The special Rajasthani dishes like Dal Bati Churma, ker sangri Sabji, Gatta sabji, Balushahi as a sweet, bajra roti, and a few more dishes were served to them. The king said to Mili, "You can eat whatever you want to taste." "Well, I'm also from Udaygarh, Rajasthan," Mili said and the king was feeling shocked. "You didn't tell me," The king pouted. "Well, you didn't give me a chance to say," Mili shrugged off. "This is wrong, you didn't tell me," The king pouted and started eating. "You made me busy talking about the palace, so I forgot to tell you that I'm from Raipur." "It's ok, but I'm happy to see you," The king patted her back. "By the way, are you gonna marry this arrogant Prince?" The king said and Mili coughed hard. Her food chalked up her food. The king rubbed her back and handed her the glass of water. "Eat slowly," He said. "So what am I supposed to say, "He thought for a while and started saying, "Don't marry this man. By the way, I haven't seen any affection between both of you. But he has no feelings in his heart." Mili swallowed hard her bite of Dalbati. The king asked, "Am I right, Prince?" Prithvi cleared his throat and shook his head with irritation. The king was laughing with Mili. After a delicious dinner, they came back to the living hall. "So, do you think to stay here tonight?" Prithvi mocked Mili. She chuckled in reply. "Well, if you wish, we can stay here. After all, he is selling his palace to you," She whispered in his ears. "Good joke," He raised his eyebrows and growled, "Do you know how much time we have wanted here?" "And this king is insulting me at every point. Still, you are thinking that he will sell his palace to me," The Prince was infuriating. There was a limitation to his tolerance. "What if he sells this to us?" She asked matching their gazes. "Us?" He marked slowly groaning at her. "Of course, us," She shrugged off. She added further, "I'm your wife, so what's yours is all mine. We are not apart at all." He inhaled deeply and said, "Fool." "I'm not," She smiled and added, "If we are different or apart then ready for another reward, which I will get from you." She paused and confirmed, "He will give it to you, but honor his wishes, respect his requests." There was firmness in her tone. He felt emotions in her words. She sighed deeply and sat in the living hall. "I hope you liked dinner," The king said to Mili who was sitting next to him. "Like?" She sighed sadly and very next second jumped happily, "I loved it." Both laughed. They noticed Prithvi and the king glanced at Mili for once. He sighed heavily and drank some water to clear his throat. "Prince Prithviraj Rathore, I have decided to give you my palace. But what I want in return is known by her. Talk with her and if you agree, let me know," The king said with a Heavy heart. His eyes glistened. This shows his love and attachment to the palace. Mili came close to him and squeezed his shoulder. He was selling his ancestral home. He inhaled deeply and said, "Don't think that I have given up. I'm giving this to you just because of her." Prithvi glanced at Mili and sighed. The king said further, "If you do not agree with my terms, I won't accept your proposal at any cost." "Mark my words," He screwed his eyes at Prithvi. Prithvi was still shocked by his statements. He never expected that he will be agreed in the first meeting. After some more talks, they left the palace. It was late at night. Mili touched his feet but the king hugged her and wished her good luck. She got in the car. "Prithvi..." The king called him back when he was getting in. He stopped and came close to the king. "Well, I know how rude you are!" The king patted his back and said, "Don't break her heart." "She will fill your life with love," he paused and glanced at Mili, who was smiling at them. "I have seen her trusting you. My old eyes have caught her feelings for you," He patted and hugged him, "I think that you are not so bored person at all." He laughed and let the prince go.
