I won't lie, I feel lighter since she agreed to a date, training has been good, even having a laugh with Angelo and Amphion plus some of the higher-ranking warriors. We are just finished when I spot Denu heading over towards Angelo. He takes the water she offers him and kisses her forehead. Of course, she bats him away, but the small smile is there on her face.
I hope one day soon Bell will be doing the same, back to how it used to be. A wave of guilt and rage washes over me. I don’t even realize she is so close until she clears her throat. I look up at her as she scrutinizes me with her glare before she crosses her arms over her chest.
