Half an hour later I found myself sitting on the rug against the foot of the bed with Eldon’s head on my shoulder and our hands intertwined. I had switched off the lights of my room and sat beside him when I heard him sigh before. We exchanged no words, without any struggle Eldon rested his head on my shoulder and started to calm down. I took his hands in mine and held it in a firm grip.
The moonlight fell on our legs, he was wearing jeans and my legs were bare so my legs shined under the light. I took a deep breath and kissed Eldon’s hair. There was so much going inside of me but I didn’t feel like voicing my thoughts, the silence spoke volume and that was enough.
