Dear daughter of mine,
I would like to tell you that you have been a great child to me, you have surpassed your fathers expectations and when I say father I do not mean myself.
As you would know, just like your bastard sister you are the same as she. You are not my blood, you are the fruit of your mothers infidelity. You and Cassandra do not have the same father, yes your mother cheated on me twice and led me to believe that you two bïtches were my own. I was led to believe that it was only Cassandra but turns out it was you as well!
Do not think I do not know that you have been captured by Luca Fiore back in the Bahamas.
I know where you are hiding dear child o' mine. Just like Cassandra, I will make you pay for letting them slaughter your brother! You wretched whöre!
When you read this, Cassandra will be far out of reach and you will be next.
Daddy is coming for you sweet child...
Reading the letter, I felt chills go up my spine. Hank was a sick man, regardless that Cassandra and Beth were not his, he had the gall to kill what he once called family..
But my Cassandra is not dead, I refuse to believe that.
Looking down at Beth's Corpse, her crystal blue eyes were empty of life, I once saw Bethany as a beautiful woman with a hidden kindness but her upbringing with a mother like Antoinette and a father like Hank, she had to keep up appearances. Her skin deathly pale as her blood soaked the Persian carpet, the pristine white evening gown stained with ruby red blood. Her natural wavy blonde hair was strewn on the floor, the color looking dull.
"Get her to a funeral home, we are giving her a proper burial. Cassandra would've wanted at least that.." I mumbled the last few words as they picked her up from the floor bridal style, I pressed my hand against her cold forehead and shut her eyes closed.
"Its will be over now Bethany, we'll make sure that he goes to hell and I don't care if I pull him down with me." I whispered and pressed a kiss on her forehead.
Watching them take away the only person Cassandra was ever close with in that family. I fumed silently, there was someone in here digging information for Hank. The gall this person has!
With my impending rage, I couldn't help but grab a porcelain vase with blue embellishments on it and throw it against the wall. Luc walked in to see the vase flying across the room making him scream.
"No!!" He shouted but it hit the wall and crashed into a million pieces. He fell on his knees looking at the mess then back at me then to the mess.
"What did my Ming Dynasty Vase do to you?" He looked so broken that I looked at him weirdly.
"What have you found so far? You need to check on your men Luc, someone here is working for Hank." I covered my face with my hands and mulled over his words...
When you read this, Cassandra will be far out of reach and you will be next.
What did he mean by Cassandra will he far out of reach? Was he going to kill her? What?! I groaned in frustration, all I know is I have to find her soon and to do that, I have to find him...
I paced back and forth , thinking where could've he taken her? I refuse to go back to thinking my wife is dead.
Beth said he had two places, I can't be in two places at once. I want to be the first person she sees when she opens those beautiful eyes of hers.
I have had meetings with all my associates who could possibly have made contact with Hank and vice versa. It was helpful as I got to sort out my thoughts and think clearly and it all came back to me like a tidal wave...
I know where he is.
I strode out of my office with death on my face, I was going to make him regret this.
Calling Luc, I had him go to the location. All the while I was thinking of Beth who risked and gave up her life just to give me that vital information. As I got in my car, I thought I caught a glimpse of Cassandra but when I looked at the mob of people, she wasn't there.. She will never be there.
She will be where I know she will be at.
"Oliver.. I know where she is." I smiled at him when he came coming.
"We found her." Was his response which made me frown. How?
"Let's go. I don't want to waste my time idling about."
He drove about and we wound up in the airport, stopping in front of my jet I found Luc speaking with a man who looked furious and oddly familiar.
"Why do you only tell me this now?!" The man bellowed, his eyes blazing.
"Mr. Dev-" Luc started but the man raised his hand as if signalling him to stop talking.
"You will give me all the information you have, I will deal with Russell." He spoke as if Hank's name was poison to his mouth.
"I will." Luc nodded and the man turned to look at me, his stare was hard and cold but what I noticed was the color of his eyes... They were that special color of hazel, it was light that had specks of gold.. Cassandra..
"Who are you?" I frowned and the amusement in those familiar eyes of his.
"Marcus." Was all he said, coming to me he stretched out his hand and I reached it to shake it.
"You look familiar.." I trailed off, still looking in those eyes of his while I thought of where I might've heard his name or seen his face.
Then it clicked..
"My father is not Hank, its actually my uncle.. Who I never got to know as he died."
"My husband would've loved her.. Cassandra is already like my child. I know Marcus and Antoinette had an affair, I couldn't bring myself to hate her when she has his eyes."
"Marcus Devereux is Hank Russell's bestfriend but the two fell apart for some reason, a few days later Marcus died."
Marcus Devereux
This man is Cassandra's father...
