Amber clung to the trunk as the tree swayed back and forth. It was impossible to throw any fireballs at the hybrid. Letting go, she became a goshawk as she tumbled towards the ground, pulling up at the last second and angling away from the hybrid. She swooped down behind him, flying around him as he spun to face her. Landing, she became human and managed to draw her daggers and sink them into his back. Before he could finish turning, she pulled the daggers out of his back and sheathed them before again heading skywards.
The hybrid roared, staggering as blood ran down his back, mingling with that of his other wounds. “You won’t get away with this. Brigitte will hunt you down.”
