Malu

505 Words

Malu Slowly, I blink my eyes, waking up from a deep sleep little by little. It’s been a while since I slept this much, but lately I’ve been feeling more tired than usual. I look around, trying to understand where I am and see the messy spot where Rafa had slept. I run my fingers over the sheet, and I can feel it’s already cold, so he’s been gone for a while. I get up, but, as soon as my feet touch the cold floor, I feel dizzy and sit down again. That’s weird. Maybe I’m hungry. I look at the clock over my nightstand: it’s almost two in the afternoon. I slowly get up and head to the bathroom. I get into the shower and let the warm water relax my sore muscles. My whole body hurts, so I wonder why I’m feeling this way if last night was much lighter in comparison to our other times together.
