FRIEND OR FOE

...... Leo sat in his office deep in thoughts with papers scattered over his desk....he didn't notice when Blanca walked in

" busy ? " Blanca asked

Leo looked up staring at Blanca

" not exactly"

" she is settling quite in she is strong very head strong like a mule " Blanca said to Leo studying her cousin's expression hoping to get a reaction seeing the indifference....a thought came to her mind

" what to you want with her " Blanca asked carefully " she Is a good woman and naive she is nothing like Selena "

that struck a nerve Leo clenched his jaw in annoyance he remembered Selena she was wild, carefree ,spirited and carefree a breath of fresh air she was all he wanted ... until he found out she had an affair with his twin brother he never knew the reason why ........but things were never the same since that day.....he never saw his twin brother nor Selena anymore he never forgot such betrayal were too painful for him to bear .

" what I want with her is none of your concern I didn't realize I had to answer to you " Leo said to Blanca indifferently " take care of her as you are told no questions asked if that's all I suggest you leave my office and get her prepared for dinner . " he said with a note of finality.

Blanca stood up and gave Leo a long look and sighed leaving his office.

Anna was roused by the knocking on her door and Blanca came in with a black law dress ,Anna looked confused

" you are to prepare for dinner and be introduced to the others in the mansion" Blanca said to Anna in a dull tone .

" I don't want to go " Anna said defiantly

" you really don't want to piss off Leo he doesn't like being refused " Blanca said wide eyed .

Anna gave a sly smile ...." I am counting on that "

Blanca sighed heavily dropping the dress and leaving the room......alot was going to go wrong tonight she thought to herself.

Leo sat at the dinner hall looking at everyone seated at the table watching everyone's face a they were all quiet , he squinte his eyes when he couldn't see Anna anywhere he turned to Blanca with a look

" she said she was coming " she said with a calm voice

Leo's eyes darkened and he signaled to Pedro who went to her room only to return unsuccessful as she was adamant to come for dinner the dinner hall was silent for they knew trouble was brewing ,whispers passed amongst themselves and soon it escalated into an uproar.

Leo knew what her game was she was testing his patience and he wasn't going to give in to her whims neither is he going to wait for her to turn him into an object of mockery amongst his men .

he stood up and the whispers stopped and he walked down the hall towards Anna's room with rage written all over his face and he pounded on her door.,....seeing that she gave no response he opened the door forcefully only to find an empty room ,.......the window was open he rushed towards the window and he saw the height there was no possibly way she could jump from such height .

that was when he felt it on his throat a cold like steel placed against it

" you would let me go or God so help me I'll slit your throat " she said with venom in her voice

Leo didn't know maybe to laugh or admire her courage

" you think killing me would get you out of here alive ! ? " Leo laughed " you wouldn't even survive my men will tear you limb by limb that I can promise you and they wouldn't just stop there they would go after your family and kill them all "

Anna froze on his words ,seeing she was distracted he turned knocking the knife away from her hands and tackled her to the ground with him on top of her and him locking her hands so she couldn't move .

" what do you think you are doing" Anna asked wide eyed looking directly into Leo's dark eyes

Leo stared into her eyes " preventing you from doing something foolish what were you thinking exactly that you would kill me and walk away freely ? "

Anna gulped with her face red she could feel every inch of him and a part of her liked it and it didn't settle well with her she tried moving and Leo gave her a look that made her still.

Leo could feel her warmth she smelled like roses and her breath was fruity ..,...she was clouding his senses ..,...who was this woman he thought ......he stood up pulling her up with him

" you want to get out of here let me make you a deal......you work for me by my side at all times you are a medical student I'll need you and every work we do must be kept secret if you let it out that secret will be at the expense of your life " .

Anna gulped in fear watching Leo leave the room.
