DIESEL POV DIESEL POV I hissed through my teeth as I poured hot water over the wound. It stung like hell, but I’m Diesel for a reason. A lucky shot like this has nothing on me. It was only a bullet graze. My mind wasn’t on the wound though. It was on her. She had been a bit too quiet on the ride back. I tried to convince myself that by now she had nothing left on her mind. She had faced her demon tonight and slapped the bastard. That took guts. I believed she had no more s**t to think about. I turned off the water, dried myself quickly, and wrapped a towel around my waist. The mirror showed the red line across my shoulder.
