Chapter 4

Danita’s POV

After lunch I saw her on our next class. She didn’t look good so I decided not to bother her. Then my best friend caught me in deep thought while looking at her. Amber did the best she can to have my attention by punching my left shoulder. After Amber talked to me and snapping me back to who I really am; I thought to myself. ‘Yeah! What the hell was I doing with that girl?’ and since I didn’t received any response from myself. I decided to stop bugging her and continue with my life.

The day went by peacefully and quietly that it bothered me so much. While we where on our way to her car. Amber noticed it too, I know she did. I know because we are the type of best friends that are like twins. As we always say ‘we are sisters from a different mother’. So when ever I don’t feel good or I’m feeling bored she definitely is feeling the same.

“Hey! Amber.”

“Yeah? You have something in mind to kill this boredom?”

“I thought you’ll never ask.”

“What d’you have in mind?”

“Our favorite spot.”

“You must be joking. Right?”

“Nope.”

“But this is my car. You should’ve brought yours instead of using mine on the forest.”

“It’s just one time. Then next time we’ll bring mine. I promise.”

“You do? You promise? Even if I say you wont have those cars that you admire so much if you broke your promise?”

“Don’t you think that that’s a little bit too harsh? But yeah, I promise in the name of Ferrari, BMW, Porsche, and Sky’s sisters Chevrolet Camaro.”

“Yeah right. You wish to have those cars. Now let’s go to our secret place.”

We drove far north near the end of town and in to the woods. We’ve know this place ever since we were little. We would camp out here together with our dads. Amber’s dad and my dad are best friends too; so that actually started everything. As we go abit deeper in to the woods amber turned in a corner and shot of the engine.

“Amber? Why did we stop?”

 “Well, we’re almost near but I love my car too much so it won’t hurt to walk a bit. Now get of my car so that we could start walking.”

“Geez! You’re such a pain in the ass.”

The place was near but I hate walking to where it is located. But Amber didn’t care ‘cause she loves her car so much. I don’t blame her. Because I would do the same if I have the car that she have. We walked abit more before we reached the location of our camp site. It’s not more of a camp site now. It’s more of a tree house specially made for us. Our dad’s made it because it’s where they know we’re safe everytime they hunt for food.

We went up the tree house and started the generator. I seated on the large bean bag near our trunk while amber started the radio. She put the volume in full blast while dancing around like an i***t.

“Hey Dani! Come dance with me.”

“No, I hate dancing. I’d rather practice.”

“Well, how can you practice if you didn’t even brought your bow and arrow here with us?”

I just gave her a wide smile while opening the trunk. Her jaw dropped when I pulled out my set of bow and arrow. Knowing that she’s wondering how did I able to have a set on our tree house, I felt that I need to explain to her and so I did.

“I know you’re wondering.”

“Damn hell. You’re right.”

 “Well. I went here yesterday and drop this off. Since I already have a new set at home.”

“Seriously?! You went here alone?”

“Yeah. I did. You don’t need to worry. I just dropped this of and when back home. I even when here early in the morning.”

“You are one crazy b***h. D’you know that?”

“Uhuh. So why not stop your whining and come down with me while I practice.”

4 days later

Sky’s POV

It has been a week since we arrived here at Rockfort. But I still don’t feel at home. ‘I wish that I was back home’ but then again this is home now. So I went out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath. Today I decided to have a cold shower because it always helps me to relive stress. After shower, I took my black pants and black razor back then got dressed. When I got down from my room my loving sister is already sited at the breakfast table.

“Good morning. Coffee?”

“Uhm. Good morning to you too.  OJ will do.”

“There’s on in the fridge. And here’s a glass.”

“Thanks. So what’s your decision? The welcoming dinner is tonight.”

“Yes I know. Actually I have been thinking about it. And I would like to ask, will you be okay if we joined them?”

“I will go where ever you go and will respect every decision that you make. So if you would want to join them then I will be okay with it.”

“Know what? I am the luckiest person in the world because I have a sister like you.”

“Well, I know. You are very lucky.”

“Skaylar. Stop it. You know, you’re so cocky sometimes.”

“Just making you smile sis. I have to go. Are you sure I can take the car with me?”

“Yeah ofcourse. It is yours anyway. It’s just not legally yours yet. So take care and be careful on driving.”

“I will. See you later, bye.”

It was a 30 minute drive from home to school. But it didn’t bother me. I like driving, well, more of I like traveling. So 30 minutes is just nothing. The class starts at 8 but I was at school around pass 7. I still have more time to do what I want. Taking my stuffs from the backseat I saw this girl staring my direction. She was the girl on my second subject. I thought that was weird, since this will be the first time that I saw her staring at me. But, what the hell. I am inside the car. Maybe she’s looking at something else.

After fixing my things, I got out and looked the car door. But when I turned on my left she was already there. This will be the first time that I’ll have to see her clearly. Blond hair, bright brown eyes with her lips painted with red. She smiles her billion dollar smile and walked towards me. Then she came to a stop when we’re a few miters apart.

“Hi. I’m Cleo. We have some classes together. But this is the first time that we’ve actually got to know eachother.”

“Yeah, I do see you on some of my classes. I’m sky.”

“I know who you are. May I borrow your phone?”

“Why? Here.”

Without a word she took my phone. dialed a number then did something else before giving it back to me.

“That’s my number. I already have your number too. Text me okay.”

“I’m sorry but you got me confused.”

“Well, don’t be. I’ll go inside now. See you later.”

That was one weird girl. But I like her attitude. I do hope she likes me. Or maybe she does. That’s why she gave me her number.

Danita’s POV

I have just got out of my car when I saw Sky talking to Cleo. She handed Cleo her cell phone then she smiled when Cleo gave the phone back. ‘That b***h!’ my mind shouted in anger. I don’t know why but I got so angry when she smiled so sweet to Cleo. So I stormed of to her direction not knowing what hit me.

“Hey! What the hell was that?!”

“HUH? I’m sorry? But what’s your problem?”

“What’s my problem? Haha! There you go acting oh so innocent.”

“What? Did I do anything to upset you?”

“What the hell do you think?!”

I greeted my teeth with anger while talking to her. She is so unfair. How come she’s so kind to Cleo while I’ve already done every kindness I know to get close o her.

“Why did you talked to Cleo?”

“The hell! For your information, I didn’t talked to her first. She came here and decided to borrow my phone to save her number.”

“So what? Why give her your phone? you don’t even know her.”

“What are you so upset about? I didn’t do anything to you. And why d’you even care? Are you her girlfriend? Cause you’re certainly not mine.”

Her words snapped me back to reality. Then I thought to myself. ‘What the f**k am I doing? She’s right. I am just no body to her. She doesn’t even notice me.’ Gosh this is embarrassing. I said sorry then stormed of inside the school. I just hope she didn’t got too angry.

Sky’s POV

I was looking at Cleo as she walked inside the school when Dani came raining down on me. ‘what the hell was that?’ she shouted with greeted teeth. This girl is crazy, I thought to myself. So I answered and we talked a little more. I got pissed off at what she’s doing to me so I said.

“What are you so upset about? I didn’t do anything to you. And why d’you even care? Are you her girlfriend? Cause you’re certainly not mine.”

With those words her expression changed from angry to shocked as if she was on a trance. She started saying sorry and run off to the school. Then I thought, this is a weird way to start a day. But I hope it ends well.
