Chapter 10

Sky's POV

Walking towards the door, I can't remove the smile on my face. For some reason I just feel so happy and alive. It's as if I'm no longer afraid and sad of all the things that happened the past months. I feel so complete now that I've got my wolf back.

Thinking I would never feel this way again the image of Danita's questioning face when Amber and I laughed so hard flashed through my mind. Those two are not so bad after all. Riding with them all the way home was actually a great idea. I will need to thank Dani somehow for it, soon.

Opening the door, this appetizing aroma welcomed me and invited me straight to the kitchen. I never thought how hungry I am until I heard my crumbling stomach. My sister who's deep in thought with her cooking, then realize that I've come back home and gave me her warmest smile.

When Meg finish cooking; I helped her set up the bar table for us to eat. We didn't talk just pure silence and the sounds of our plates and utensils. I guess all those times we've shared have made us used to each other and now we have the agreement that we'll talk later after dinner.

At around 10 we are seated on the couch while watching avatar, don't ask me but I really love the movie. Maybe it's because of the main character Jake Sully, I guess I relate to him more now. But at this moment, as much as I want to concentrate on the movie, I can't.

On my peripheral vision, I could see that the whole time that we've seated there my sister never took her eyes off me. Turing to my right, I asked her if she'll just stare at me all night. All she gave me was a smile. Starting to get pissed, I was about to speak again when she said.

"What happened earlier? Why did my little hero left all of a sudden?"

Yes she calls me her little hero, guess between me and her I am stronger. I remembered how she would go home crying after playing with the other girls out on the street and I would go running after them with a hockey stick. Giving her my sorry face I said.

"I'm sorry for what happened. I just don't trust your mate just yet. Then this Cleo girl came raining on my parade getting oh high that she is the next alpha blah blah blah."

"Haha. I get you sis. She does get on my nerves as well. Hmm. So where have you been?"

Thinking long and hard of her question, I thought not to tell her yet. So I said I just walked on the woods and then went to town. Which she believed by the way, that is a good thing. She got satisfied, end of interrogation. Feeling so tired I then retreated to my room and drifted off.

Dani's POV

After driving off Amber and Skylar I immediately drove back home because it's getting late. As I got home, I ate my diner then went straight to my room and got ready for bed. I was laying on my bed unable to sleep when the images of what happened earlier flash backed.

On the woods, While we were getting ready to go home, we heard a noise just about a few feet away. Then it suddenly stopped. Taking my time, I walked towards the noise and pointed my light through the darkness. There about 10 feet away standing was a girl, then I asked who she was.

'Are you trying to blind me with that light?' A voice came. By this time I have gotten so familiar with this voice that even if the person is not in-front of me, I will still be sure that it was Skylar. I lowered my flashlight to the ground that allowed her to lower her hands and walked to us.

My heart skipped a bit, I may be out for a few seconds when Amber decided to ask why she is alone in the dark woods. Sky said she was running and got lost track of time. Not a very good excuse but I don't have the right to judge her for not telling the truth.

Letting us know that she's going, she started to walk when I got my tongue back. I then asked her if she would want a lift, in which she accepted gladly and got in to the car.

While on our way, she told us that we may go ahead and drop her off in town because she needed to buy icecream for her sister. I told her that it would be ok and we will wait for her, in which she agreed without hesitation. It was weird considering she doesn't like staying near me at school.

Now getting to think of it, I am pretty sure that this girl has a lot of secrets behind the mystery that she puts up everyday. I just hope that she'll be the same like when we're on the car and in school. Starting to drift off a smile was left on my face just thinking of her.

During that day, on the pack house.

'What the hell Nate! I didn't do anything!' Cleo yelled in anger.

'Huh? Oh, no no no no. you did something alright. You pissed off Skylar! Just like what you do with other pack members that are lower than you.' Nate states his side.

'I was just doing our assignment for next week! For gods sake Nate!'

'Yeah you did. But you still intimidated her. Making her feel week and by doing that you pissed my mate! So don't you there go near that house again!'

'Who the hell are you to give me orders?! I will be the next al-'

'SILENCE!' the alpha ordered while cutting of Cleo.

'The two of you have been screaming left and right since you both arrived. And it's already disturbing me and the other pack members.'

'I'm sorry alpha.' They both stated with their heads bowed. Showing respect to their alpha.

'Okay. Now that I have both of you in control and since I've basically heard everything I will be ending this problem. So Cleo, you will need to follow Nate's order.'

'But-' Cleo tries to object but was not allowed by the alpha.

'No buts Cleo. It displeases me that you don't have any respect for Nate which is currently your beta. You are not yet the alpha so you must take his orders with respect. Understood?'

'Yes alpha.' Was all Cleo could say with her anger all bottled up.

'And Nathan, make sure that you will protect those girls and not just your mate. Okay?'

'Yes alpha.'

Skylar's POV

I think I was still dreaming when I heard a voice calling for me. But the next thing I know is I was already laying on the floor with my ass aching. And I'd say this is not a good way to wake me up. I was about to do something stupid but was shocked when I saw Luna standing on my door with my sister grinning at me.

'I'll get you later big sis.' I use our mind link to threaten her, which worked because it wiped out the stupid grin on her face.

'Let her be Skylar.' Luna said with such soft voice as if she heard what I've said to my sister. Walking towards me Luna Sofia extended her hand to me assisting me to stand up. When I got up, she let go of me and said 'go fix your self. You will be coming with me today.' With out a word I went to the bathroom and got ready.

When I was done, I went down to see my sister and the Luna chitchatting animatedly. When Meg got a view of me, she announced my presence to the Luna. I walk by to them with a questioning look then Luna Sofia taped the seat next her, informing me to sit.

"I'm sorry for the way you were woken up. Megan said it was the best way after trying 5 times." Luna starts with why I was woken in a way.

"Oh. I see. I'm sorry; I was just tired from walking the whole day yesterday."

"Are you sure? That's all that happened yesterday? You walked on the woods until evening?"

"Yes luna." I answered her straight and short.

"Ok then, we need to go now."
