Chapter 2

Okay, well that was awkward. But she's.. Ugh! She's so irresistible! It's as if some kind of force is dragging me to her. And I've never felt this way before, not even with a guy. Damn it's creeping me out.

"Hmm. Do you still have anything to say?"

"Huh? Oh! No, that's all. You may continue with what you're doing now."

"Oh, okay."

God that felt so awkward. And I can say she felt awkward too. Though she took it better than me.

Sky's POV

This girl gives me the chills, but in a good way. That was a very awkward thing to do but she pulled it off. I salute this girl for being brave enough to talk to a total stranger and try to compliment twice. But, I can't. I just can't do this now. No friends as much a possible.

"Hmm. Do you still have anything to say?" I decided to ask turning back to her.

"Huh? Oh! No, that's all. You may continue with what you're doing now." She answered in a rush and a hint of red on her cheeks.

"Oh, okay then."

So after that. Surprisingly, first period ended perfectly well. No unusual stuffs. No more eyes looking my way when I left for the second period. And that Danita girl is busy talking to her friends, so I got by smoothly.

When I reached second period something hit me. Not literally hit me with a thing. But there sure is something wrong with me because I got a really bad headache. Maybe this is the result of sleeping for a day and a half without eating. I hope it's lunch time; my mind and tummy crumbles while I try to concentrate with the environment and the room on where am I going to seat.

As I took a seat at the back row, heads turned but one caught my attention. This girl has this aura with her that seems okay with me. She is the only person who didn't give a damn if there was a new girl who seated at the back row. She stayed there on her seat minding her own business. And that's what I call attitude.

Until, this voice brought me back to reality.

"Hey! You're the new girl, right?"

"Yup. We have just transferred here, me and my sister."

"I see. Don't let everyone scare you too much. They're all just too curious with new comers. We don't see new people around here too much."

"Hmm. I understand. Thanks for the head's up. I actually experienced this on first period, so it's not so shocking anymore."

"Hah! I was too late. But anyway, you're welcome. And by the way, my name is Sam. Yours?"

"Sky, you may call me Sky."

"Nice name. Well I hope to see you around."

"Ditto."

Well Sam, whoever you are. You have been the second person to talk to me.Also it's great that you didn't made any awkward moves cause two is enough for the day. Plus, I really cannot handle anything more because of my hunger.Ugh! I hope its lunch time already.

Danita's POV

Second period is boring. Just the same old bull crap Miss James had discussed last year before school ends. A recap, as how she said it. Hmm. I miss those blue eyes. There's something strange with her aura that I just can't unravel. I wonder what class she had for second period. Maybe she's on my next class. Hopefully we have the third class together so that I may talk to her again. Seriously! I don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

"ow!"

"Hey! Day dreamer."

"What the hell!"

"Shh! She'll hear you."

"I don't care! You threw a pen on my head!"

"Oh c'mon besty. I just want to know what you're thinking of."

"Nothing! I'm thinking of nothing, just the fact that Miss James is boring me out."

"Well then. Maybe you'll want to share something with us? Miss Lancaster."

"Oh! No Miss."

"Really now? Well then. Here is an assignment for tomorrow."

And with that, everyone complained and shoot me angry looks. I'm sorry people but I thought she's a bit deaf. Maybe I should have lowered my voice a bit. Ruggamuffins! That did it all for me. As always, I have ruined first day and everyone is pissed off. Should've kept my mouth shot.

Bell rings

"That's all for today class. And Miss Lancaster, I hope to see your paper first thing."

"Yes Miss James."

While walking out the room, Amber immediately caught my left arm while saying sorry in the sweetest manner she could possibly do. Yes, cause she knows I'm angry at her. But she's my bestfriend, so what else can I do than to forgive her? So I gave her a smile and all was okay.

"But you have to treat me for getting your best-est friend in to trouble."

"Is that all? Hmm. Okay, remind me later."

Sky's POV

This I can't take any longer. Maybe I could just drink some water before next class. I am walking along the hall looking for the water fountain when my headache suddenly vanished. It's as if a large rock was lifted off my head. Surely for a normal person that would have been strange. But I hope my guess is not right. Cause whatever that was, that was a lot to handle.

Oh there it is. The water fountain was just around the corner. But wait; that's her! That girl Danita. Hope she didn't saw me. Why does her locker needs to be so near to the water fountain. And I can't even go back now. Next period is about to start and am too thirsty to back-off. Well, okay, if she talks to me all I have to do is smile drink and leave. Okay, here goes nothing.

"Hey! Sky, I missed you at second period. Looks like you have a different subject."

"Yes I do. Hmm. I'm thirsty, mind if I drink first?"

"Oh. No, of course you may drink."

"Thanks."

Great mother of mercy. This girl is clueless. Can't she even notice that I don't want to talk to her? And she's even waiting for me to finish drinking. Or maybe she'll drink too. I hope it's the second one.

"Oh! You're still there. Are you going to sip too?"

"Yes! Well, my friend here is your neighbor at Willow Street. And I would like to introduce you to her so that you'll have a new friend near your place."

"I see. Well, I'm sky. And you are?"

"Amber, call me amber."

"Well that's a name of a stone. And I'm going to be late for the next period so I have to go now. Sorry."

"It's okay. What's your next class? Amber and I have arts."

"I'm off to arts as well."

" Well then. We could all walk to our next class."

Amber's POV

As Danita was trying to tell me that she've talked to the new girl, something caught her attention. And when I turned to see what it was, I saw this girl all badass looking redhead walking the hall. Dani immediately pulled me and rushed to her. Gosh! She could be such a child most of the time. And then the went to a conversation. I don't rally care but I think she's a bad news. And then she spoke.

"I see. Well, I'm sky. And you are?"

"Amber, call me amber."

"Well that's a name of a stone. And I'm going to be late for the next period so I have to go now. Sorry."

Of all the information about my name and that's all she could say about it? I don't know if this girl is nuts or she really just don't have anything to say. But Dani started acting strange since she came. Maybe she really wants to befriend this girl. But I don't trust her. And I don't feel safe around her. Maybe I should just go with the flow and see. I hope Dani won't like her too much to let her enter our little circle.

Danita's POV

Our walk to the next class was quiet. I don't know what amber was thinking. But I'm sure she's up to something and she'll surely talk to me after school. Well what ever it is, amber, it can wait. I want to know her more. And I will make sure to do whatever it takes.

"So. Sky, what do you think of Rockfort hills?

"Hmm. Not too much yet. Since we have not explored the town, yet. Give me a week. Maybe I may give you a feedback then."

"Well we could give you a tour if you want."

"That is a very irresistible offer. But I promised my sister that we'll explore the town together."

"I see. Well, I'll just ask you how is it after you've checked the place."

"Yeah. That would be great."

That went out okay. Atleast it was not as awkward as before. Plus! She's on my third period. Thank god for arts. Maybe we have something in common that I may use to talk to her. Or I better shut it for a while. Yeah, that's what I'll do. And wait to see if she would want to be my friend too.

Sky's POV

Holy guacamole! This girl is off the edge. She can't resist talking. It's like verbal vomiting with hyperactivity. This girl needs to be brought to the doctor immediately. Huh! What the. This is strange. I can feel my head ache again. But I'm not feeling that hungry any more. This is totally something else. I was on my way to a seat when my headache even worst.

"Hey! New girl, what's your name?"

"Huh? What's that?"

"What? I didn't say anything."

"Oh! Right, Dani sorry for that."

Then after a few seconds more my headache was gone again. I started looking for that voice and where it came from. It's not far and I'm sure that who ever that was is inside the room too. As my sight reached the far end of the room, two golden eyes were looking straight at me. But before I could have found out the teacher asked for our attention and started discussing. When I looked back to check who it was, there was nothing. All that's there was an empty chair; near the window.
