Gabriel’s POV
I tried to take a deep breath and reassure myself that Aurelia would be fine and the mission would be a success. I had sent her on that mission because I wanted her to be able to stand for herself in any situation she might meet herself because she is part of this family now. I was aware I had enemies and I couldn't let them keep trying to get Aurelia because she is the daughter in law of this family.
"Do you want me to bring you some juice to calm your nerves?" Amelia's tiny voice interrupted my thoughts.
"No," I said harshly. "Just get out." But she came up behind me and put her hand on my back.
"Why are you being so harsh with me, Gabriel?" she asked, running her hands on my back. I turned and pulled her hands away.
