Aurelia's POV
I opened my eyes slowly, blinking the sleep out of them. I yawned and stretched my limbs, my muscles feeling stiff. I turned to look for Rocco, but as usual he wasn't there. Suddenly, the door burst open, startling me.
"Good morning, sleepy head!" Amelia said, walking into the room with her usual cheery attitude. I immediately frowned. Having to see her first thing in the morning was a sure sign that my day was going to be terrible. And I don't understand why she is acting so familiar with me.
“What?” I snapped. Just because we're both under the same roof doesn't mean we're friends. I don't like her, and I can't pretend that everything is fine, I thought to myself. Amelia raised her hands in surrender, clearly taken aback by my outburst.
