38 Carolyn's POV All the terrifying memories of my high school bullying returned. I've been stabbed with things much worse than a fork. Adelyn and her minions tried everything on me. Pins. Paper cutters. Sharp twigs. Pointed plastic objects. They went as far as using a prawn's rostrum. I never expected the same to unfold in college. Back then, it unfolded in a jiffy. I could never see where it came from. This girl here... She was making it happen in slow motion. The fork came towards me lazily. So lazily that I was able to hold her wrist and twist it around. The fork dropped out of her hold. There was a cry and next I realized I had twisted the girl's hand one-eighty degrees. Gasps cut through the silence. People flinched back as I let the hand go and the girl collapsed, crying.
