{Oliver}
Oliver was quick to leave Anya behind as he hurried out to meet up with Freya. It wasn't an excuse when he said he had to go because before the incident occurred Oliver had already scheduled to meet up with Freya.
He jogged to the forest but still couldn't get the image of Anya out of his head. Her shiny lips, glowing eyes, and soft delicate skin. Her heart-shaped lips made his stomach churn as he recalled them being roughly pressed against his lips. He groaned at the thought of ravishing her without having to worry about his mission and the lies he had been feeding her.
He had lost control. He couldn't believe he had lost control only to snap back to reality and write down Freya's name to show to Anya. Oliver bit his inner cheek when he remembered Anya's evident disappointment and distraught face. Her face had contorted softly until she hit him with a fake smile.
His growl echoed throughout the trees as Oliver struggled to remove his unheavenly thoughts and regrets. Once he reached Freya's small camp she stood with her arms crossed and her eyes cutting to his.
She sighed, "Don't tell me you got laid. You're only tying yourself down to this place."
"I didn't," he replied gruffly and slouched against a tree.
"You're swollen pink lips, glassy eyes, flustered and frustrated state don't really help you in your statement," she pointed out.
Oliver hated Freya for always noticing the smallest details. This was why King Asher chose her to be a spy alongside him. "Way to point things out," Oliver sighed.
"We have a plan now," Freya announced so Oliver became all ears. "We're attacking in about two weeks."
"How? What's the battle plan?"
Freya pointed to the direction of the Fairy Kingdom, "The Fairy King allowed Asher to bring out a full armada to his frontlines. Our dragon warriors will fly in from our borders because of the spell that kills them at the Fairies border. This King is as vast as our dragon warriors so we'll conquer the entire Kingdom without allowing them to pass the message that we're attacking. Once we get the message that the entire Kingdom besides the capital is under our control we'll close in on the capital. We'll ambush them."
"Full armada?"
"Well, a fourth of them will remain in our Kingdom to protect the princesses and our territory."
"I assume then that Asher is going to lead the armada?" Oliver moved to sit on the log near the dying fire.
"You know he's always wanted this revenge after...after they killed his sister. Also, you should know that our deceased King and Queen were never the same after that. Asher harbors hatred for King Vulcan, the dragons here, and the Dragon Kingdom. King Vulcan is a liar- a wolf in sheep's clothing. He was there during the attack and is responsible for the death of the princess and you're-"
"I know," Oliver cut in quick to make sure Freya didn't finish her sentence.
Freya rubbed her temple, "You're just like Asher. The only difference is that you harbor your hatred for this Kingdom deep inside you."
"Did Freya tell you that the High Houses are reinstating the Royal Guard?" Oliver changed the topic.
"Yes, they'll be the King's last defense because by then, we'd already taken down their army. So we'll kill the Royal Guard, to show the civilians that they're under the rule of the dragonslayers now."
"Ok, but...what about Anya?"
Freya narrowed her eyes sympathetically at Oliver, "She's going to be High House Hydra's top warrior now. It is most likely she'll be sent to the front lines and...nothing can guarantee her safety."
"You don't understand," Oliver growled. "She drives me wild and it scares me."
"We both know why she drives you crazy. The only problem is that you don't want to say aloud that she's your-"
"Even if I did we could never be together! Once she finds out the truth she'll label me as a liar and be cold to me. I' ve- God...I've just practically rejected her right now!" he exclaimed.
Freya frowned, "What did you do?"
"We were..." Oliver scratched his head, trying to come up with a good word.
"Making out?" Freya offered.
"...Yes, and then I sort of pushed her away lightly and wrote down your name on a piece of paper. I guess she got the message but it made me feel awful," Oliver leaned his forehead against his palm.
"That's all on you. Who gave you the idea to tell her in the first place that I was your girlfriend," Freya gagged.
"If I told her you were my cousin then she would ask many questions about my family. Questions that I can't answer."
"You've just taken several steps from your advanced relationship with her. She won't treat you like she did before you two locked lips. If anything, you'll go back to day zero because Lucia and Hydreich will be back and they're taking her back. Back to court, her house, and the webs of the Dragon Kingdom. Any warmth she had toward with you will be gone because Lucia and Hydreich will ingrain different stuff into her brain. It called the curse of High House Heirs. She'll be as cold and deadly as the ice she produces....Unless you fix this."
"How do you always give the best advice?"
"I give this advice because earlier when I was in town, I saw the House Hydra clan heading to the palace."
