{Arin}
Anya asked him to promise her to set her free if she won. He promised. But he couldn't let her slip through his fingers and leave to never be seen again.
He is a selfish person. But he needs Anya in his life. He surprised himself when confessing to Anya. Did this mean that he didn't love Libelle now? He wasn't going to give up Anya, though. He was going to give up Libelle. But not their child. He wasn't sure if him having a baby with another woman would bother Anya. It didn't seem to bother her before.
He couldn't bear to look at Anya's pained and betrayed face when she realized what he had done. He had ordered the fight to be to the death because he thought Anya was incapable of killing Libelle. But he was wrong. Libelle's magic and rage overtook her. She turned into what she always was. He hadn't expected that the rage and betrayal would awaken her inner power.
The fireball finally broke the dome which shattered into pieces and onto the audience. Arin rushed to Libelle's side. She was sobbing and pointing to something through the smoke.
"Libelle, what happened? Where's Anya?" Arin shook her shoulders furiously until her eyes locked with his.
"I-I-I killed her," she sobbed. "I killed, Anya!"
Arin's breath stopped and looked over to where the smoke cleared up. Anya was pincushioned with metal spears in her shoulders and abdomen. "What did you do, Libelle? What did you do!"
"I-I don't know!" she cried. "I was thinking in my baby and how she was ready to kill us and I just-"
She broke off into more cries. Arin was frozen in place, unable to bear the sight of his beloved in that state. Ryoko lifted up her hanging head to reveal the dullest eyes. Unbearable guilt struck him. He watched as they exchanged a few words. Rochelle was busy yelling at Libelle.
"GET RID OF THOSE SPEARS" he heard Rochelle yell. But he felt his mind spin as the spears were removed and Anya's body sagged against Ryoko. They laid her down and he watched as the life was drained from his beloved's caramel face.
A person like her control all the elements for a purpose and when they lose control it is utter chaos. She believes that the magic comes from the spells she casts but they don't. Something happened because his heart felt cinched and his chest felt like a belt was tightening against it.
Ryoko angrily stood up and wiped her tears. She shoved him by the chest harshly, "THIS," she motioned to Anya's body. "Is all YOUR fault."
Arin blinked at Anya's body. How still it was terrorized him. Ryoko continued her assault hitting him against the chest, "You know what she wanted me to tell you?"
"What?" he said breathlessly.
"She wishes you burn in hell for the liar that you are! One more thing, she hates you. Despises you," her words rung throughout his head.
His beloved hated him for the lies he's told and the false promise which she held so much hope in. He staggered toward her body and delicately picked her up, "I need to bring her to Aceso"
Ryoko and Rochelle followed him toward where House Medela was seated. They approached the healer, Aceso. "I need you to heal her, please," he begged Aceso on his knees.
Aceso shifted uncomfortably and nodded. She placed a hand on her forehead and frowned, "She feels deep pain. She has suffered a lot but suppresses it. She feels that she has no one she can tell everything and that knows her true feelings," she glances at Arin. "You've betrayed her."
Arin nodded, "Yes, I know."
"I only heal physical wounds no emotional wounds. And her emotional wounds are deeper than her physical ones," Aceso said and Anya's wounds began to heal. The bruises disappeared and her caramel skin looked rejuvenated. "She needs rest but she'll wake up sore."
Ryoko and Rochelle glared at Arin as he picked Anya up and almost left the room but Aceso stopped him. "Wait, King Vulcan," Aceso called.
"Yes?"
"If you truly want to help her heal then it might require...sacrifices. But you need to fix your personal affairs soon rather than later. Even if she's human she still feels the effect the bond creates when you're with another...woman."
"I will take notice of that," he said gruffly.
Rochelle scoffed, "But you might as well be too late."

{Anya}
Maybe if the sun didn't shine so brightly then I wouldn't have woken up but the sun shone high in all its glory. At first, it appeared to be heaven because of the sheets. They were as soft as clouds could be. They had a heavenly scent. A too familiar scent.
I sat up immediately but regretted it because my head began to spin. I groaned and clutched my head.
"You should lay back down," King Vulcan's voice appeared beside me and a cold cloth was pressed against my forehead. I stared at him in shock.
"What are you doing in my room?" I snap.
He hesitated, "In reality, it's my room..."
I hummed in response and quickly stepped out of the bed. My feet wobbled and I staggered until King Vulcan caught me right on time. "Don't touch me, understand?" I hiss.
"Anya...we need to talk. About everything," Arin admitted.
"I don't want to talk with a liar," I spat. "How do I know that you aren't lying to me this very instance?"
"You just have to believe in me," he winced.
I scoffed, "I wouldn't dream of it, King Vulcan."
He winced again, "Please, just call me Arin."
I frowned, "Why?"
"Because I want you to trust me."
"Do I look that gullible? I'm a perfect picture with a broken frame and you are to blame. I could never trust the likes of you," I shake him off me.
"I've broken my ties with Libelle," he quickly rushes to say.
"Eh? What do I have to do with that?" I stop and stand directly in front of him. Our faces inches away. I poke his chest pointedly. "I could care less."
I turn away but he speaks up quietly, "But I care if you care..."
"Aww, did the cat got your tongue?" I pouted mockingly.
"I said..." he pulled me toward him easily. "I care if you care because I love you."
"And I said, you're a lunatic and I could care less. Don't worry this world isn't fair," I flick his forehead and turn to my room.
When I reach my room it was seemingly empty. My clothes were gone and none of the decorations that were placed before were there. Infuriated, I stormed back to King Vulcan.
"What is the meaning of this?!" I growl and motion toward my room.
"I've moved your clothes to my closet here and your decorations are on the walls here," he states and points to my snowflakes scattered above the bed.
"Why? Just why? Why do you insist on ruining my life?" I stomp my foot on the ground. He infatuated me before and now he's infatuating me with trying to gain the trust he already lost. "I've lost the tournament so I don't know why you're starting to treat me like your beloved now if you haven't done it before. Just stop being an anchor for me!"
"I want to earn your love and I'll keep on trying if it's the last thing I do."
