Xander rushed to the throne room where Asher had announced a gathering for the care-takers of the Royal Guard. When he entered, he faced Asher's creased brow. He was worried.
"We have a problem, Xander," Asher was visibly pale. "Please tell me you still have Anastasia."
"I don't," he replied. "I lost her a couple of hours ago."
"Gods," Asher groaned and stood up from his throne. "They're all gone."
"What? How can that be?"
"I'm not sure either but the Royal Guard disappeared. We don't know where they went but it certainly is nowhere good." Asher peered at Anneliese. "Any suggestions?"
