"I talked to her, Joaquin. But she is not mentally prepared to have a relationship right now."
Mandy said, trying to keep her words as subtle as possible. The day was nearing to end and the search party has made a shelter in the area they have covered. The authorities have given approval for using the helicopter to speed up the process, and air search will start from tomorrow. There was no point in the relatives to stay here, sitting inactively; so everybody was instructed to return to the lodging.
But before Mandy tried to escape into the safety of the taxi, Joaquin asked to talk to her for a minute. The hurt in his eyes was making her blameworthy, and she didn't have the foggiest idea why she was feeling like a terrible individual for conveying the news.
"Does she blame me too?"
