Advik dropped the bindle and used the frigid surface to move faster. He could hear her still stumbling and an abrupt thud ensured him that she has crashed on something. He should have remembered she had anxiety issues, but his disdain towards her overwhelmed him from thinking properly. This was the first occasion he felt remorseful for his actions after beating the life out of Jason; he repented that day by wrecking his car and injuring himself. He skidded a few times and his palms got hurt from sharp edges, yet he wasn't conscious of the pain as he was focused on finding Aviana. What if something happens to her?
