Sebastian woke up with a smile on his face. The world seemed so right. His body felt light on his mattress. His eyes weren’t hurting from crying the night before. He was simply at peace. It was the first since his twin mates left and he intended to keep wearing it by thinking positive thoughts. Time was flying by so slow but it was getting to where he wanted it.
It was a beautiful day.
The sun was rising and every light passing through his window curtains made Sebastian happy. He rolled over his bed and took his blanket off before he got up and stretched. As he stared at his photo with Thad and Theo on his night stand—one he took with his phone and got it printed a few days later— he heard a lovely sound.
It was a bird singing by his window sill.
