I grunted as I tried to get off the floor. I balled my right fist and pushed it against the mat. Dad’s left foot hit my chest as we sparred inside the training room. Well, I asked for it.
“One more,” I uttered through the link as I turned to face him. I brought my fist forward and placed on leg behind the other, grimacing at the torn ligament I earned a few minutes ago. I leaned slightly forward and waited for his attack. I was on defense.
Dad stepped to the side and cased me. I followed his legs. All I felt were his hand on me and the next thing I knew my back hit the floor. Hard. I whimpered at the impact. Dad’s arm was on my neck pressing me down, leaving just enough space for me to breath.
