I stared at a distance as I sat in the backseat of one of our private helicopters. I could feel the grief in my twin brother’s heart and it made my chest heavy. Just like how we did when we were younger, I held his hand in mine to calm him down. He knew I was trying to comfort the storm in him and so he didn’t let go until we reached the palace.
The sun was already about to set when we arrived. Theo and I stayed longer after Yza woke up. She was in shock and we did not know what to tell her. The young female warrior who came with Uncle Bailey kept her company and tried to get her mind off what happened. After lunch in which Thad and I didn’t a bite, we let Yza fall asleep in the warrior’s arms.
