“Would you like me to carry you?” Theo asked me. I shivered from the inside at the very tempting offer. I would have jumped on him if not for the pair of voices next to me.
“Hell no,” Pops and Dad said. I heard a quiet chuckle from Bailey. “He can walk,” Dad added. I thought he was not going to be like Pops after that little calm-down-baby talk to him. When he had the chance to train, he was ruthless. Now, he’s just being mean.
