Megan I was counting steps back to my tree house. With every step I took, a new question came to my mind. When I reached there, I hurried to Sam, but my leg froze on the scene I watched. Sam was me, Megan. I felt my heart ached at the scene. Her blonde hair had turned to black. Her face never missed a detail of mine. I couldn't even say her name. I was saying my name unconsciously. "What have I done?" I repeated those words. Suddenly, I remembered Cassandra. I knew they will be here in moments, so I had to tell her before I got screwed up. I set off the block and linked her. "Luna", I linked hesitantly. I was anxious that she could know me. Then, I realized that Sam had never told her Luna before. So, I linked again correcting my mistake. "Mom", screaming this time. "Sam, are you okay?" She linked with her worried voice. I was relieved to the fact that she called me Sam. "You have to come here with daddy quickly", I screamed crying. "I'm coming darling", she yelled back. I quickly ran to my body, sprinkled some of the bottle contents on it, then I did the same on my clothes and watched what will happen anxiously, hoping it will happen before they come here. I heard sounds of footsteps approaching me, and I was looking at the clothes on my body waiting it to transfer. I started shivering as the voices approached. They were about to arrive here, and the clothes weren't changed yet. I heard Caspian's voice, "Sam". I couldn't stand it anymore. My body was cold as ice, and I couldn't feel my legs anymore. I fell to the ground hitting my head. Everything turned black... I fainted. ____ Caspian "Sam... Wake up", I said in my Alpha tone. I was losing my mind on the scene I witnessed. She opened her eyes slightly. "Sam", she murmured. "Sam is killed", she continued. I couldn't understand her words, but I guessed she was still overwhelmed by the fact that Megan was killed. "Dear, it's going to be okay", I tried to comfort her. She hugged me tightly and sobbed loudly until she was tired and fell asleep. I carried her to my chest. Her birthday clothes she bought today were ripped out. I carried her back home crying. Being an Alpha, I was trained not to cry whatever happened. But, seeing my adopted daughter dead broke my heart deeply, and I couldn't control my tears. I ordered my Beta to organize her funeral. Then, I went to the pack house to place my daughter in her room. Cassandra was grieving on the stairs. As she saw me coming, she stood up rushing to me and grabbed Sam. "I shouldn't have let you go alone. It's all my fault", she screamed. My heart ached seeing her in this situation. "It's not your fault dear", I approached her face. "She's also very tired. She wants you to be strong for her. She needs you now", I tried to make her stop crying. She nodded at me, and we both went to her room. ____ Megan I walked up in Sam's bed. Alpha Caspian and Luna Cassandra were lying on the bed asleep. Their eyes were puffy from crying. I sat up in my bed. As I moved up the pillows, they walked up immediately and cupped my face. "Sam, are you okay", Caspian said. I shook my head. "Dear, what happened?" Cassandra said with her eyes watering. "She fell from the tree house and hit her head with a rock. She was dead the moment she reached the ground", I was talking like a robot. They both approached my chest and hugged me tightly. "We're so sorry", Cassandra whispered. They both sobbed on my chest. I didn't expect them to be so sad. I didn't know they loved me that much. They always treated me nice, but I didn't know they loved me. After few hours they spent with me, I told them I needed some space. They didn't argue and agreed thoroughly. Luna told me to link her if I needed anything, and they were outside. I was alone, now. I looked around me. Everything here was reminding me of Sam. Ellionora howled in my head. "You can't hide this for a long time, Megan", she said. "Don't be so insensitive. I had no other choice" I told her. "You know this is wrong, and you know that the day will come when you realize this fact. You'll regret it" , she said. I shook my head neglecting her words. For some reason, I wasn't able to cry anymore. I felt like I was empty from inside, so nothing could affect me anymore. I dragged myself down the bed and went to the bathroom. I didn't look at the mirror. I took off my clothes and opened the hot water to fill the tub. I sat down in the hot water and thought of the miserable life I had lived ever since I was born. I realized how strong I was to handle all this. Now that the only person who made me happy was gone because of me, I could train myself to live without emotions. I thought about the tree house I had dreamt to build. Now, I hate it from the deepest part of my heart. I won't go to the woods anymore. My thoughts were broke as the water began to cool down. My body had sucked all the heat in it. I felt a little better. I stood up and went to the closet. I dried myself and put on the pyjamas I lend to Sam couple of weeks ago. We were used to share our clothes. I went back to my bed and slept wishing this could be a dream that I could wake up from one day.
