Cassandra
I was about to lose my mind on the fact that I had lost Megan. To me, she was my eldest daughter. I couldn't believe she was dead.
My whole body ached, and my eyes were bloodshot from crying. But, I realized Caspian's words. He's right. I have to be strong for Sam.
I wiped out my tears, washed my face and went upstairs to my room. I took a shower and got prepared for the funeral.
When I was done. I took a deep breath and head toward Sam's room. I knocked her door and entered. She was deeply asleep. I sat beside her and patted her forehead.
She didn't move at first. "Sweetie, wake up," I linked her. She frowned a little. "Dear... It's your mother. Wake up," I tried again.
She gasped quickly and jumped out of her pillow. "What? What? Are you okay, dear?" I was so worried. She swallowed and looked at me. "I'm fine...just a bad dream," she said. My heart squeezed at her words. I hated to see her that hurt.

Megan
"Megan," I heard Sam's voice. "Megan... You killed me to live my life. That's not what sisterhood means," she said now seeing her clearly. "I was forced to or else I'll lose everything," I replied. "You already lost everything Megan, even yourself," she said.
"Sweetie, wake up," Cassandra's voice float into my head. "She's calling me," Sam said. "Sam, I want you back," I told her crying. "Wake up," she replied. "What?" I asked her.
"Dear... It's your mother. Wake up." I heard Cassandra's voice again, so I gasped and jumped out of the pillow panting.
"What? What? Are you okay, dear?" she was worried about me. I was so scared, but I couldn't tell her. So, I said simply, "I'm fine...just a bad dream."
"Be strong dear. It'll pass," she tried to comfort me. "We're going to start the funeral after one hour. Prepare yourself to join us," she said with a sad look on her face. I nodded without saying a word.
She left the room, and I got up from the bed, and went to the closet. As I chose my black clothes, I took a black blanket and went to the bathroom. I looked at the mirror and I could see Sam. I couldn't believe it. I raised my hand to see my reflection doing the same. It was true. The choice I took, the spell, the witch, everything that happened today was true.
I couldn't look at myself anymore. So, I took the black blanket and hung it on the mirror. I don't want to see myself anymore.
I walked to the closet, get dressed and went downstairs. Everyone in the pack house was grieving for my death. Some were talking about my parents' sacrifice.
I heard one of them said, "They sacrificed their life, so they can make her safe, happy and successful. She joined them now in heaven. She didn't have the chance to live here". I was about to faint at these words. I wish I could join my parents as he said. This would be more relieving than the life I'm living now.
After one hour, the funeral started. I saw them bring my body in the coffin. I approached my body and suddenly could hear or see no one. I was focused on my body.
I recalled Ellionora's words and my dream. I realized that today I killed two people not one. I killed Sam and Megan both. Ellionora was right. I'll regret it. I regret it deeply now.
The whole funeral was like watching my life being erased forever. I felt hollow from the inside. I could do nothing. I couldn't tell them the truth now that they're burying my body, and I couldn't continue living like this, trapped.
I'm living the life of a person that I, myself, don't know. I'm not Sam nor Megan. Those ideas were buzzing in my head. So, I screamed out loud and fell to my knees. I heard Cassandra's voice, "Sam". I hate it calling me Sam.
I stood up and told her to back off. She immediately stopped her pace. I ran inside and up to my room. I locked the door, and sat on the ground beside my window arching my body into a ball. I cried all the sadness inside me until I was worn out and slept on the ground.
