Sam
I missed Megan today. I was home alone because it was my birthday. I wanted to go with mom shopping, but I never thought that it wouldn't be fun because Megy wasn't here.
I was preparing desserts with mom when I heard Megy screaming, "Sam, I missed you sister". She rushed towards me and hugged me deeply.
My heart warmed to see her. She was my best friend ever. "Happy birthday, sister. I can't wait to show you your gift," Megan cheered.
"Not before you two have lunch," my mom said smiling.
"Please Luna. Let us go," Megan insisted.
"You go wash your hands darling and change your clothes, then come to have lunch with us, and I can leave you alone to do whatever you want," my mom said while cupping Megan's face sweetly.
"Ok, then. We will try to hurry," Megan said enthusiastically.
We had lunch with my parents and some of the Betas. I was elated with the birthday wishes I received from all of them and from the gifts they all gave me.
As soon as we finished our lunch, Megan grabbed my hand and led me to the garden. She blindfolded me, and walked me to the woods.
I could see nothing, but I could hear the sound of the dried crops cracking under my feet, and I sensed the cold water of the river wetting my feet. So, I knew we were going to the woods.

We arrived to my tree house. I could barely wait to untie the cloth around her eyes.
"Count to three. Here you go," I yelled excitedly. "Taadaaa," I said as I released the cloth.
Her eyes were lit with surprise. "When did you do all this?" she asked astonished.
"I told you I'm attending classes to learn crafts. I was lying about that, sorry, but I didn't want you to know. This was my crafting class," I explained giggling.
She smiled widely. "I'm proud of you Megan," she chuckled. My heart warmed at her words.
"Let's put the block so nobody can bother us. I told Cassandra we're going to stay here until night, and then she'll join us with Alpha Caspian, so we can camp here and enjoy your birthday," I cheered.
"This is my most special gift ever," she said, her eyes watering. She hugged me tightly.
We both raised the block, and we were now alone. It was safe here because we were very close to the pack house.
"Let me show you what the architect did in there," I said winking at her.
Sam climbed the tree, and I followed her to help. She stepped up the ladder I made, but her face was showing fear. I was worried about her, so I told her to climb, and I'll be right behind her to protect her from slipping.
Though the tree was long, I hadn't thought of the idea that it could be dangerous for Sam, who feared heights, to climb the tree.
I helped her to the top. She was about to reach the final step, so I released my hand to catch a breath from the heavy weight I carried.

I didn't dare to tell Megan I was afraid of the height I was going to climb. I didn't want to ruin her surprise.
I caught my breath and climbed trying not to look down. I could feel her hand on me, so I was relieved that she's holding me tight.
When I reached the last step, I felt her hand was released quickly from my leg. I quickly turned to check on her because I thought she fell down.
As I looked down to the ground, a cold shiver ran along my body, and I felt dizzy. I couldn't feel my legs, and I felt my body was in the air.

" Saaaamm," I yelled loudly as I saw her body descending to the ground. She opened her arms aimlessly to the air, and she smiled at me. Then, I heard a loud punch.
I didn't know how I reached the ground. I ran to her body, and kneeled beside her. She wasn't breathing.
As I lifted her body to me, I saw blood on the rock that her head had hit into. I shook her body hysterically.
"No...no..no... No, Sam.... Please, no. Wake up... Please wake up Sam," I whispered unconsciously. "Sam, wake up. I want to show you my house, Sam. I built it for us, for just me and you," I knew I was saying this but she couldn't hear me.
I kissed her cheeks thoroughly. Her head was bleeding. I continued to talk to her, and tears were running down my cheeks. Finally, I gave up and rested her body on the floor. I leaned over her and grieved.
I built this house to spend my whole time with her not to kill her. When these thoughts came to my mind, I realized the fact that I killed my so-called sister. I could see nothing but the picture of the Alpha and Luna kicking me outside the pack. As a 15-year-old girl, who has no parents and no one but this family, I faced the truth that I will be dead as soon as possible either from hunger or by the Alpha's army.
With all these emotions, I looked to the sky and pray for the Moon Goddess to help me. I felt so scared that my whole body parts were trembling. I tried to stand up, but as I pushed my body up on my feet, I fell on the ground fainting.
