Episode 7

Megan I doubled my training sessions this week. I could barely have time for feeding myself. Maybe it was my own way to express the nervousness I was feeling. I appeared with very cold expressions to the others, but from the inside I was boiling with feelings. Time was approaching to the date of my birthday. It's the day Ellionora will be revealed to the pack. I was always reassuring her that she has to respond to the name "Dakota". "It'll be okay. Don't worry about it. My name is Dakota and you're Sam. Got it..." she cheered. "I can't wait to feel the touch of grass on my paws," she continued purring. "I'm not sure if my body would be hurt because of the spell," I explained. "Oh... I see. You're right. I forgot about that. Living inside you would make it difficult to see your outer appearance. Sorry..., but I think the witch would have mentioned something about it if it was to affect your shifting. Don't worry." She was right in her logical interpretation. " I wish I could know what she meant with her last words, " I said. "You should visit the tree house to know the answer," she replied. " Impossible, " I growled. It was like stabbing me with a knife when hearing the word "tree house". Ellionora was silent. Soon, Cassandra entered my room holding a white dress. " Hello darling. Look what I got you," spreading the dress infront of me." It's the dress you will wear at your birthday party." I tried to hide my irritation by thinking of the fact that she was trying to treat me well. So, I said calmly, "Mom... I love you so much, but you're making it so hard with all the pressure you're putting trying to get me back to what I was. I'm happy with the way I am now, and I hope you manage with this." "Sam... What happened to you? I'm your mother. We used to be closer. Now, all you do is avoiding me. Maybe I can help you dear. Tell me what's hurting you that much." She was right. She thought the only problem I faced was losing Sam. She didn't know I hid all the calamities that happened. I was trying not to hurt her anymore, but her heart was torn apart everytime I ignored her concern. " I'll wear it for you," I said. Ellionora moaned in my head. I was confused by her reaction, but I got distracted by Cassandra's hug. "Thank you for being the kindest daughter," she said smiling and holding me tight. After couple of minutes, she left the room. I remembered Ellionora's reaction. "Ellionora, what happened?" I asked her immediately. I was very bonded to my wolf. "I don't know. Something's wrong with my head," she said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine now. Let's focus on your birthday," she was very excited about it. I moved on to the bed where Cassandra left my dress. It was a white short dress with long sleeves. It was tight on the upper body and loose under the waist part. It had pink flowers at the skirt making it perfect for a 16-year-old birthday party. I was confused by its color. It had been a year since I abandoned colors. It's a challenging attempt to try white, the shiniest color. I hold the dress in my hands and looked at it deeply. "You'll be fine," Ellionora said trying to calm down the depression growing up inside me.
