Slipping out of Liam's hold, I made my way out of the spotlight and through the other side of the sitting room that served as a dance floor, passing several couples that were dancing on the dance floor and headed towards the hallway.
I had no idea where Lislie would possibly be, and I really needed her right now. She was the only one in our circle who was aware of my feelings for Liam. My heart was heavy and I needed to let it all out. Gerald would have been helpful too, but I had not caught a glimpse of him yet.
