Liam's mum, Aunt Jenna was in the kitchen tending to the food on the gas stove when I walked in to help. Liam went upstairs to his Dad's room, and I bet he would take a long time before coming down, unless lunch was served.
Maybe his Dad wanted to talk him into behaving well, or whatever he would call it.
Knowing that Liam wouldn't be coming downstairs until lunch, I decided to join Aunt Jenna and Riley in the kitchen and help out, like I normally did.
Aunt Jenna looked up on hearing my footsteps, beaming sweetly at me.
"Wow! If it isn't my daughter-in-law Drey..."
Riley looked up from the dishes she was washing to make a funny face at me before narrowing her gaze at her mother, who was coming in her direction.
