Mates these days are not at all common. Werewolves would get together, get married and call each other mates, sure. But natural, moon goddess bound mates were becoming more and more rare. I had always known my mom and dad weren’t really mates, nor my dad and stepmother. I hadn’t been mates with Ryker either. Honestly, now that I am thinking about it, I’m not sure if I’ve ever come across a pair of natural mates in either of my lives.
