The meeting with potential business partners was set for Thursday morning at a small café downtown. Two former colleagues from my Stone Enterprises days Marcus Wei and Jennifer Park had agreed to hear my pitch.
“They’re taking a risk just meeting with you,” Maya reminded me as I got dressed. “Your father could blacklist them too.”
“I know. But Marcus texted that he’s tired of corporate corruption. And Jennifer has her own consulting firm already — she doesn’t need Stone approval.”
“Just be careful.”
