This was a triple celebration—not only was it his birthday and coming of age, but he was also the alpha-in-training. One that everyone in the neighbourhood had been anticipating. As soon as they opened the cabin door and grinned at one another, they could hear the music and laughter. Walking the short distance from Chanbee's cabin to the town centre, where everyone had come to join in on the celebration, Steve held her hand. As they walked into the community hall, Chanbee continued to clutch Steve's hand. The applause from everyone started to make her blush even more. Being the centre of attention did not appeal to Chanbee, who was quite shy. But Steve cherished it and revelled in the attention. When each person entered, Chanbee grinned and said hello. chit-chatting with a few of her pals. Steve, on the other hand, delighted in giving his friends high fives while howling loudly. He was determined to make the most of today because it was his day. His passion was just one of the many qualities she adored about him. He always gave everything his all. A man full of life, passion, and happiness. It was a common joke among Chanbee's friends that Steve would not need to hunt for a partner because they would inevitably become mates. Something that made her goosebumps She wholeheartedly agreed. They were and had long since been the ideal couple. It was inevitable that they would mate. They had only been waiting for Hinto to turn first-d, and that day had finally come. A lot of thought went into decorating the community flag. Everyone wanted to give Steve a memorable day. All of the decorations were in shades of crimson, black, and silver. Everything from the décor to the balloons. Combining all of his favourite colours gave the hall a sophisticated appearance. A wall had a stack of food tables, large enough to feed an army. Adjacent to it was a pub with music playing. Everyone was having a good time. With everyone knowing one another from their tight-knit neighbourhood, the hall was full of laughing and conversation. Steve and Chanbee remained close to one another most of the time. Only sometimes straying to say hello to someone or help with a task that needed attention. "Everything is proceeding according to plan," her mother remarked, kissing her daughter on the forehead. "I am really happy for you both and am eager for the mating ritual to start. It should not take too long at this point." Chanbee smiled and clasped her mother's hands, saying, "Thanks, mom." • "I have to say that I am a little anxious about everything. I know I am not one for attention-grabbing, but today is all about Steve and me. Our shared future and his impending alpha status." Chanbee and Steve spent the most of the evening dancing together while the celebration was in full flow. It was going to be a celebration all day. Chanbee moved away from Steve in order to grab a water bottle. She grinned at the idea of them mating soon as she observed him from a distance. She enjoyed seeing him goof around with his pals. He was always so content to be a part of a group. He was the life of the party all the time. He constantly presented himself as an alpha male. He cherished the limelight and all the attention."Ely returned to Steve's side, and the two of them continued to dance as a group with a few other pals. Periodically, they would pause to rest and converse with their companions. When Chanbee turned to look at her parents, they were beaming with pride and could not be more pleased for Chanbee and Diek. When they all started dancing to a slow song together and then each joined in with a partner, everyone started crying. As they danced, he whispered in her ear, "You really do look incredibly gorgeous tonight." "Neither myself nor anyone else can take their eyes off of you. In fact, everyone is always praising you for your beauty." She cried, "Stop, you are making me blush," as they swayed back and forth and he tightened his grip on her. She had goosebumps when he breathed close to her mating gland on her neck. The gland he would sever shortly after they mated. It was finally here—the moment she had been patiently waiting for. As the sun began to drop, the community hall's door and open windows let in long, golden shadows. adding to the hall's enchanted appearance. Ideal for the ceremony that was about to start. A ceremony that simultaneously delighted and unnerved Chanbee. the rite of mating. It was an incredible way to cap off a wonderful day. Nobody got out of control, and everything went without a hitch. When it comes to vying for the attention of women, some of the boys can get rather competitive. Fortunately, though, there were no big conflicts. Just a few fights that were quickly broken up before they got out of control. Steve's yell, "She is here!" caught Chanbee's attention as she continued to savour this ideal day. "Yes, I am here," Chanbee answered, glancing around. I am standing next to you. He sniffed at the air and murmured, "No, not you," sensing a strong tug away from Chanbee's side. Letting her hand fall, he turned to leave. Steve, what is going on? asked Chanbee, unsure of how to interpret his peculiar behaviour. Steve was behaving strangely and agitated. He was sniffing the air and flicking his eyes back and forth. driven insane in his pursuit of her. He said, "She is here!" once more. His reaction left Chanbee absolutely perplexed as she stood next to him once more, grasping his kand. Chanbee inquired once more, "What are you talking about?" as she She asked, peering into his eyes, "Who is here? What you are talking about is beyond me. Here I am, standing beside you. Right where I should be." "Not you!" He repeated himself in a panic. He murmured to her, "My partner is here." "She is present. She is present for the celebration. She would be, I knew! I have to locate her. Right now!" Chanbee, still not understanding why he was acting so strangely and sniffing the air all around him again, responded, "No, you don't, I am right here." With hunger in his eyes, he turned and moved away from her, saying, "I can smell her." His acts leaving her bewildered and disoriented. Chanbee's heart was thumping fiercely inside her chest. She was clueless about Steve's situation. Who was he looking for, and why was he acting so strangely? All this time, she had been standing directly next him. Given that she was the intended match, why was he searching for "her"? With his eyes darting wildly around the community centre, Steve moved away from Chanbee and started to look around for someone. He paced the hall, sniffing and scanning frantically from one end to the other. When he finally made it to the kitchen, he focused on Paulina, one of their classmates. An Their gazes locked, and she grinned at him, experiencing the same attraction the entire night. "It is you," he informed her while everyone else just stared at him in silence. "I smell it, you are my match." When everyone saw how elLi's world was coming apart around her, silence descended upon the powd.
