There had to be more to life than this sense of bereavement and melancholy. She had to see Grandmother Whitney. She would be aware of what to do. Many moons ago, Grandma Whitney was the Luna of the pack. Like other packs, hers dominated for a considerable amount of time before conflict broke out and the pack disintegrated. Grandma Whitney relocated to her home in the wilderness at that time. Chanbee felt most at ease when she was around Grandma Whitney. The property did not feel quite like home, the way her cabin did. Grandma Whitney radiated a grace that calmed her and enveloped her. The moon realised that she needed that more than anything right now. Grandma Whitney would know what to do, Chanbee kept reminding herself. She did all the time. The only person who could soothe Chanbee and get her through this difficult moment was her. She would explain why this occurred and provide the answers to all of her queries. She needed to reach Grandmother Whitney.B. After a while, Chanbee got up from her seat and looked at her reflection in the stream again. She became aware of a change in her appearance. Her eyes no longer sparkled with delight, and the fur was not as shy as it had been earlier. They appeared black and lifeless. She did not know this Chanbee at all. It was another person. That was necessary. Chanbee felt empty and was on the verge of feeling sick. For a while, Chanbee strolled slowly as she attempted to order the events that had just transpired. Still, nothing seemed to make sense. This was not the appropriate way to close the day. I should not have her here. She ought to be rejoicing at her mating with Steve. Why did everything go so wrong? Was there anything more she could have taken care of? Why had not she anticipated it? Due to her intense mental focus, Chanbee failed to see a fallen log and stumbled over it. A sharp edge sank deep into her leg as she fell face first into the earth. She hobbled for a while until it healed, and then she started running again. Faster and tougher this time. She had to see Grandmother Whitney. She had to return home. As soon as she could see Grandma Whitney's cabin, her panic started to fade. Before she could enter the door, she needed to go through one more clearing. She was capable of getting there and then collapsing. As soon as Grandma Whitney arrived at the door, she opened it, gasping for breath. Grandma Whitney opened her log cabin door and exclaimed, "My child, I heard you coming from a mile away." A cloud of smoke shot out of the chimney. "I had been anticipating you," She sobbed, "Grandma Whitney," as she reverted to her human shape and collapsed into her grandmother's embrace. "He is not here. I no longer own him. I will spend the rest of my life alone since she took him from me." Grandma Whitney took Chanbee in her arms and stroked her hair, which had fallen loose from the braid. "Husk quiet, my child," she muttered. "In the first place, he was never yours." Chanbee turned away from Grandma Whitney, her expression shocked. What topic are you discussing? It was our destiny to be together, and it was his destiny to be mine. Could you please do such a thing? Grandma Whitney questioned, "Said who?" as she observed the last, helpless youngster sobbing in front of her. Who introduced you to your mate? My darling, you will not know who your soul match is until the calling cornes. It is possible that he loved you, but the calling is too great to resist. This is something you ought to be aware of. It has previously occurred in the pack. Or have you lost track of all that you have learned and seen?" Chanbee sobbed as she went into her grandmother Whitney's cabin, asking herself, "But why did it have to happen to me?" Why now, following this amount of time? How could I not see it coming, not know it? We were flawless in every way and really happy together. Up until it wasn't. In an instant, how could all of that disappear? Chanbee's denial overcame her and she stopped seeing rationality. turned down the mating call. "My child, please sit down and sip this herbal tea. As I already mentioned, I had been anticipating you." Grandma Whitney said this while steam Whitney from the rim of the cup she was giving Chanbee. Chanbee blew a little over her tea and then sipped from it. How come you say you have been anticipating me? asked, a perplexed expression on Chanbee's face. How could Grandma Whitney have known the news before the celebration had started? Did someone warn her over the phone? Mom, maybe? I had always thought Steve was not the right person for you. Despite the fact that he is the alpha-to-be, he is not your predestined mate; you are too good for him. He has never been. Grandma Whitney spoke with confidence in her voice. Chanbee questioned Grandma Whitney's assertion, perplexed, "But how can you be so certain?" How was she not meant to be with Steve, and how would Grandma Whitney know? "My kid, I will shortly reveal everything to you." Grandma Whitney spoke while stirring the stew over the flames. However, this is our first dinner together. She remarked, "The stew is ready," and gave each of them a wooden spoonful. Grandma Whitney gave Chanbee a bowl full. Chanbee gave a sidelong shake of her head and declared, "I am not hungry." I feel too uncomfortable and queasy to eat. "That is ridiculous, my child. / realised you had not eaten anything during the party when you heard your stomach rumbling as soon as you got there. You were overly preoccupied and then overly upset. Eat well, and in the morning, we will talk further."
