CHAPTER SIX Peter takes the piece of paper, studying it. He furrows his eyebrows, pursing lips. Seconds later, his eyes widen. In an instant, he tilts his head, straightening his mouth, and sucks his teeth. Clenching his jaw, he holds a constant stare into Giles’ eyes. Giles lets a fleeting flinch free. Peter shakes his head. “This is impossible. I’ve never been to Prora once, let alone committed treason. You, sir, are mistaken.” He pushes the paper back into Giles’ hand, crinkling it. “This cannot be right.” Breathing in deep, he exhales, folding his arms.
